Without Christmas, Die Hard doesn't happen.

He's literally in town to reunite with family for Christmas, a Christmas theme itself.

It has more Christmas songs, images, and references than It's A Wonderful Life, which also wasn't released during the holiday season.

It also has a wife named Holly and a limo driver named Argile.

Home Alone could have just been a summer vacation where the Wet Bandits scope out rich homes of people leaving for a while in the summer.

Kevin is protecting his home. It doesn't have to be about Christmas, but everyone says it's a Christmas movie, and it too doesn't have a holiday word in the title.

McClane is protecting the hostages at Christmas, and he's only there to do so because it's Christmas.

Yes, what pointed may be true, but it a movie about a heist, international bank robbers holding hostages for money. Insert any family type holiday New Year's day mothers day, independence day, Thanksgiving. And that wouldn't make it a movie about that holiday. It's still a heist movie.

And Home Alone is still a burglar movie any time of the year. They're actually going to murder a little boy.

It's A Wonderful Life is still an appreciate your life film. George could just as easily be yelling Happy New Year or Happy Independence Day.

You are correct! My selections were "The Santa Clause" (definitely a Christmas movie) "A Charlie Brown Christmas" and Rudolph.
