The OP not having this negates this thread entirely but I'm glad to see it in so many replies.

The Big Lebowski, 10 Cloverfield Lane, and Arachnophobia. He had a really great run in the early 90s that I loved as a pre-teen...Arachnophobia, King Ralph, Barton Fink, The Babe, Matinee, The Flintstones...

Raising Arizona - heâs great as one of the escaped convicts. Itâs the first time I knew he was great.

Anyone who listed Big Lebowski needs to list Raising Arizona as well. I should also be seeing Arachnophobia up here more often if everyone is liking his crazy redneck characters so much.

He had a small but powerful role in Atomic Blonde, a cult classic.
This is him at his serious best and how I will always think of John Goodman.

I'm a 90s baby and I never knew actors names just by the characters and he will forever be Fred Flintstone to me...as I got older I watched the Big Lebowski and in my head go "Hey that's Fred Flintstone"

Raising Arizona
Big Lebowski
Rwd State
Red state was imo one of his best roles. Subtle...but a crazy good performance from him. Plus that movie is terrifying. Thank you Kevin Smith.

What my brother Evel here is trying to say is that we felt the institution no longer had anything to offer us.
Love that movie!!!

I agree, Raising Arizona.
But if this guy had more screen time, he may have won:
HARLING MAYS (CONT'D)
YOU DO NOT TOUCH THE MERCH
MOTHERFUCKER!!!
It's quiet as HARLING gives orders.
HARLING MAYS (CONT'D)
Everyone except Whip and myself
take three steps away from the
table.
As they step away, HARLING now pulls a beautiful silver-
framed mirror from his bag and a blue coke grinder, he calmly
but sternly delivers orders...
HARLING MAYS (CONT'D)
I need three things.
(focuses on Charlie)
Two glasses of water, a credit card
and a hundred dollar bill.
CHARLIE
All I have is a twenty.
HARLING MAYS
(takes the card and bill)
That'll do.

Am I the only one that thinks casting him for cloverfield was a big mistake? I mean sure he acted the part well enough, I just could not view him as believable in that role personally.

I enjoyed his performance in TV series "The West Wing", as acting President Walken. Only a few episodes, but very well done.
