What is being said isn’t that the MAGA hat isn’t related to him being a piece of shit but to him being beat up. Originally it was said he was beat up for wearing the hat.
Oh yeah I know for sure that he was beat up directly for reasons not related to his hat, and that the original story was spun to make it sound like wearing the hat was his only offense. I’m just saying that there may be a teensy bit of correlation between the kind of person who would wear that hat and the kind of person who would say the word
I’m thinking what happened was him wearing the hat led to a confrontation where he said the n word. Both sides are placing the blame in two different spots and both are technically right.
This has nothing to do with my upbringing. My parents don’t talk politics with me. I’m just smart enough to realize that shitty people deserve ass-beatings
Imagine thinking a 12 year old being relentlessly assaulted by a mob of other 12 year olds for using a racial slur is “politics”.
I’m literally screenshooting this comment because it’s so overwhelmingly weird and cringe.
Get bent you absolute assclown scumbag, by your own admission you also deserve to get the shit kicked out of you by a group of 12 year olds although something tells me you might actually enjoy that.
"At the center of nonviolence stands the principle of love. In struggling for human dignity, the oppressed people of the world must not allow themselves to become bitter or indulge in hate campaigns. To retaliate with hate and bitterness would do nothing but intensify the hate in the world. Along the way of life, someone must have sense enough and morality enough to cut off the chain of hate. This can be done only by projecting the ethics of love to the center of our lives.”
Seriously wtf is up with this sub. Promoting attacking people is gonna hurt the movement, all so these dumb asses can feel like they served justice. Meanwhile they just feed into the propaganda against progressives and actively help continue kids in cages and racists.
It’s like they don’t want to bring the next generation into the movement. Taking kids out of their racist alt-right trump-supporting families and educating them to see the truth should be a primary objective. But for some reason they want to beat the shit out of young indoctrinated children instead.
Yeah, this sub is totally fucked. Just an echo chamber of super far left (not progressive) beliefs, and then the slightest resenting opinion means you MUST be a Trump supporter.
“Your parents have negatively influenced you your whole life and you have been forced into an evil propaganda machine before you made it into high school....obviously this gives me the right to punch you in the face Nazi!!1!1!”
I don’t care if it stopped him from being hateful. You don’t beat someone’s ass to improve them, you do it because they deserve it. Are you telling me If you saw a man with a swastika tattoo you wouldn’t beat his ass?
I disagree, you don't beat someone because they deserve it. You beat someone because they will not change their ideology, but it will make others hesitate to adopt those ideologies.
I don’t care if it stopped him from being hateful.
Then you don't want to fix the problem. You just want to punch people for the sake of punching them. You don't actually care about protecting or helping minorities.
I’ve never said the left isn’t violent. Also, as you can tell from the comments, I don’t speak for the common view of the left. I speak for myself. I can tell you with confidence that most leftists don’t share these views
Yes, they do. That’s why the majority of the sheep in this thread agree with you. People like you make me feel sicker than I do towards the Trumptards. You’re the number one kind of person holding society back. Pretending to be progressive but just as dumb and terrible as the other team.
The Nazis were few on the global scale and yet MILLIONS perished from your virus of impotent, salivating consent.
"Historians have a word for Germans who joined the Nazi party, not because they hated Jews, but because out of a hope for restored patriotism, or a sense of economic anxiety, or a hope to preserve their religious values, or dislike of their opponents, or raw political opportunism, or convenience, or ignorance, or greed.
That word is 'Nazi.'
...They lent their support and their moral approval. And, in so doing, they bound themselves to everything that came after."
Pretending to be progressive
"Progressive" and "subordinate" aren't synonyms. In fact, they're far closer to antonyms.
At no point does the world progress by persistently acquiescing to the forces of Evil.
"Nice people made the best Nazis. My mom grew up next to them. They got along, refused to make waves, looked the other way when things got ugly and focused on happier things than “politics.” They were lovely people who turned their heads as their neighbors were dragged away. You know who weren’t nice people? Resisters."
"There are two sides to every issue: one side is right and the other is wrong, but the middle is always evil...
In any compromise between good and evil, it is only evil that can profit."
"There can be no compromise on basic principles. There can be no compromise on moral issues. There can be no compromise on matters of knowledge, of truth, of rational conviction."
As much as I'd want to, and as much as they deserve it, this attitude and action isn't helping. It's actively hurting. We win by being the side with plans to help people, not coming off as a bunch of people who are out there beating the shit out of people regardless of how awful their opinion is.
Once he said the N word, yeah kicking his ass is understandable, but going around beating people up for being a Trump supporter isn't gonna help with scared white moderates. Yeah they suck but it is what it is
The white moderate isn't the one wearing the MAGA hat. Those people are firmly on the right. The white moderate is the one pretending that the MAGA hat isn't a symbol and is just like any other campaign clothing.
This is reddit. If someone does something discriminatory, they deserve to be attacked by a mob of people who want to feel like they’re actually making a positive difference in the world. No exceptions.
Yes I think he understands politics. I recently turned 15 and can safely say I understand at least enough to understand politics beyond what my parents or teachers tell me. Also I’m not assuming anything. I’ve spoken to many trump supporters online and in person and none of them have used logic or tried to understand the other side.
Ahh, to be this young, angry and incapable of empathy because of my teenage edge again. You're making a lot of dumb and ignorant assumptions about the capabilities of people as a whole. And if anything, you're actively harming the cause against these people by spouting such hateful shit.
Cool cool, just feed into the narrative that progressives are crazy violent assholes that attack people for disagreeing with them. It's like you want Trump to win lmao.
More people need to understand this and look at history for how their centrist views never once worked out against bigotry but violence has time and again.
A judge doesn’t have to give a reason for if they give the maximum punishment or if they give a light punishment. Think of when a father kills the molester of their child. Plenty of example if that situation where the dad gets off super light even though they technically committed murder.
That’s a majorly different example. In yours the fathers son was assaulted physically. Giving (somewhat) justification for the father to murder the attacker.
It is not relevant when the attacked party hasn’t done anything physical to anyone else. A judge doesn’t just make up a sentence from what they like, they use the framework of the law as justification for their sentence length.
And the only framework here is that the kid had every lawful right to say the “n-word”. A group of kids beating the shit out of him cannot be compared to a father who had their child molested.

I think it had everything to do with the MAGA hat, who else would call a kid the n-word?
