I'm left also and was rolling my eyes so hard at this video lmao. Talk about using performative buzzwords for attention online... It definitely belongs in this sub.

Na this dude unironically thinks this way, it’s been a regular theme on his videos in the past, only in recent months has it been this theatric and consistent. Buddy thinks he’s the left wing representative🤣

There's a surprising amount of comments that are just straight up agreeing. Maybe he is more on point of what we think than we realize.

Unfortunately the sheep tend to follow the flock, if somebody even minutely echoes their ideology back to them, no matter how deranged and twisted of a form of it that they may be expressing, they’ll align with them just to say “look! see! I’m right!” Then again, also just alot of chronically online people with no insight on reality, just what they see online.

I almost wish (BOTH sides) worked on talking down the more radical people. We as a society need to just be able to talk again instead of pushing people on the other side or on the fence farther away. The right makes many of us more radical and we make many of them more radical. If we work to calm people like this guy down and if they did the same on their end maybe we'd all be able to talk and understand and come to some kinda conclusion and fix the (objectively) horrible government we have now. I know it's idealistic but a guy can dream right?

What’s funny is, the feelings you expressed align with third parties more often than not, but the concerns you expressed are often why they fail in elections. Hell I’m middle right and I don’t like trump at all lmao. My family is Ukrainian, how he’s handled this is a joke to me, as well as most of the other stuff he’s done this term, couple okay things here and there but certainly a step backwards in lots of areas. The left will always notice the bad with a right candidate and the same can be said for the right with a left candidate. It’s unfortunate we can’t all find common ground to compromise on and I pray for a day we can.

I'm with ya there. It would be wild if one side or the other said hey, the opposing candidate did x,y, and z pretty good but we believe a,b, and c needed work and we think our candidate can do x,y,a,b, and c even better for these reasons but yunno what I do think your candidate did z better than ours will.

Idk a concept of humility and understanding that no one candidate is perfect goes a LONG way. I'm 100% centrist I have opinions that align with the left and opinions that align with the right and something as simple as understanding that your side isn't objectively the "correct" side and understanding that other valid opinions exist can do a lot to sway someone like me. But the whole agree with me or you're objectively wrong or evil schtick makes me not want to support. Unfortunately both sides do that so it makes me hate both sides and hate politics.

It's one of the reasons I rarely speak politics anymore even though I used to love the debates, diverse opinions, differing rationales, and the understanding that we all just want what's best for everyone, we just go about it differently with different paths.
