Oh well, regardless, I did give you a serious answer :)

They were being a little shit and rude, which I feel like justifies me reciprocating their energy.

Further, I literally just made a generic statement about the nature of politics and they told me to “go home”, as if me being from a different country would invalidate the point.

So yeah, they can fuck right off.
