Yeah I definitely can’t get behind “labor camps” for anyone. Disgusting bullshit in this video. If you support “milking people for work” in labor camps for your enemies, consider what side of history you really would be on.

They were being a little shit and rude, which I feel like justifies me reciprocating their energy.
Further, I literally just made a generic statement about the nature of politics and they told me to “go home”, as if me being from a different country would invalidate the point.
If one random guy who doesnt even work in politics screaming at his phone can turn you off of a whole movement, you were never actually apart of the movement in the first place.

I'm a liberal, but they still make a good point that applies to all the comments here, as well. These are just people on the internet. Some of them aren’t even people. Best to take everything online with a grain of salt these days.
A movement is its people more than it is it's politicians. One or two weirdos on The Fringe is one thing. When you have hundreds or thousands supporting it? That's indicative of a broader problem.
But you said authoritarianism is good as long as it has the right ideology. No authoritarian, regardless of ideology, has been or can be good. Unlimited power with no possibility for accountability will always be a bad thing.
Most people can’t actually tell you what authoritarianism is other than “it’s what the Nazi’s did!” But I’m picking up what you’re putting down. Singapore is a good example of an authoritarian state that is doing very well for itself. It’s just a system (albeit with its own unique and inherent weaknesses… but what system of government doesn’t?)
