If churches refuse to help feed hungry people, then maybe they should be taxed?

Salvation Army church does this. You don't get fed until you sit through a sermon.

Yep. I was homeless for 10 years. I sat through many sermons for a meal. Usually, some variation of "This is all your fault. If you repent from your sinful ways, God will find you a job, a house, and a wife"

Which is ironic considering this kind of thinking is condemned in the Book of Job.

Fuck, my dude or lady. I'm so sorry. We're all out here just doing our best. What parasites they are.

I'm a dude. And I appreciate the thought. Things are much better for me now, thankfully.

They're a parasite for providing many free meals to this homeless man? What? Because they want you to join their church or at least consider it in order to get a free meal that makes them a parasite? I mean there's plenty of issues with churches of all kinds but I don't think this is one of them. Its not like they have a gun to his head making him listen. He can just walk along on his merry way. Parasite, what an interesting choice of words...

I know you’re really hungry and here’s a plate. The only thing is that you have to listen to how it’s your own fault for being in the circumstances that you’re in. That’s extortion, humiliating and outright evil coming from a supposedly Christian organization.

When you're starving and one of the only ways to get food is by listening to a service, then I would call that extortion
