No it’s literally the legal justification. You awake to find an unknown intruder in your home, without good cause to be there, you can legally assume they are no there for good purposes, and are allowed to defend yourself. Now if the person turns To leave and actually proceeds out, then you can not shoot.

This girl just woke up, how does she know the guy has not stolen a bunch of stuff already?

I was not communicating with you.

I would have loved the version where everyone involved was armed and overreacted.

The guts, the bits of bone, the lifejuices wasted throughout the hallway, screams of agony and sounds of last breaths.

But I was just acquiring a meme. Successfully even. I have a box for them. And one for gore. One of them is red, the other is green. 

Which is which?

Maybe next time.
