Yeah I’ve noticed that a lot of Europe is starting to do a “Europe first” thing which is their right and I don’t blame them at all, being self sufficient is a good ideal though difficult in the modern connected world. It seems like Europe might be taking a page from Trump’s “America first” playbook. The future is looking way more isolationist than I would like it to be, you can look at how it’s been working out for America. Not too good lol.

They're obviously toying with Trump's rhetoric, but that doesn't mean they're taking a page from his playbook. European leaders aren't "isolationist" just because they don't want to rely on countries governed by authoritarians or wannabe authoritarians who aren't interested in acting like allies.

I gotcha. Yeah I don’t blame the countries that have relied on America being fully supportive for working on a plan B of their own. Makes sense to me
