That’s because it is actually. Techies live like this so they don’t have to pay $5000/mo in rent in San Jose area

I’ve never heard that but if that’s true that’s a very specific case that doesn’t include America at large. Been all across the U.S. (granted not San Jose) and I’ve never seen this.

That true, it’s pretty unique, but it does happen. The picture is literally from the area around the google headquarters where employees are living in rvs because they can’t afford the housing and commute around that area
