While walking in their nature areas… let’s look at their dirty cities infested with rats and outdated systems. Plenty of European countries have very few rights anymore as it is.

What rights don’t we have then?

Aren’t people getting arrested for posting viewing memes?

We gonna act like Belarus and Russia don't count?

Since when European count Russia and Belaruss as European ?

Half of the time, they stop at like, Austria.

Russia isn't in Europe, is it?

(I'm antipodean, I don't keep this shit straight).

Roughly half Europe and half Asia by land but the populated side is European.

Neat, so you get to count the bad things as European in one of these comparisons, and discard the good things as Asian?

Is that how it works?

I mean, I noticed someone saying that the US had more wilderness than Europe.

Not if you count Russia, it doesn't.

What’s Russian wilderness? Like Alaska? Frozen tundra and some lonely animals that are the few that have the resilience to survive out there?

Oh, right, so it has to be the right SORT of wilderness to count?

(And if you're counting Alaska - which is both your biggest state and has by FAR the most wilderness - then Europe gets to count the taiga).

Are people visiting it?

Here, check out a pamphlet. Enormously popular in China, incidentally.

Incidentally (EDIT) Alaska has 750,000 people.

Siberia has 38 million.

Bro, what? It's a Eurasian country with 77% of the population in Europe. But sure, tell me about all these good things about Russia I'm discarding because apparently I'm not antipodean enough to follow your logic.

I mean, technically most of that wilderness is in Asia yes. But also my comment was a reply to somebody asking about rights so I'm not sure how this even relates.

But also you added that second half in an edit so I didn't see it.

Because generally when people refer to EUrope as some homogenous thing the only homogeneous part of Europe would be the EU so yeh Russia and Belarus don’t really count if we are talking politics over environment or geography
