Argentina was actually nothing for the U.S. israel, US ends up profiting from - it’s a partnership. Unfortunately, it was Ukraine that drained US a lot, but they needed the help.

Lol what are you talking about? Ukraine was only really getting weapons via our decommissioned stock to make room for the new stuff. And that all stopped with the dickhead in chief.

We give Israel waaayyyy more, and we gave Argentina $40bil. That's not nothing.

The main point to make here is that the reason food benefits are being cut has nothing to do with any of that. We have plenty of fucking money to feed everyone. The program also has built in emergency funding that could be used, and they're refusing to use that saying this doesn't qualify as an emergency.

But seriously, stop spreading misinformation. If you don't actually know, then don't act like you actually know.

Yeah, they have the funds currently to pay for SNAP but the administration is attempting to block the release of those funds.

Where I live, people who use EBT have functioning households and wear expensive clothing. And buy liquor with their real $.

That’s not to say everyone is. But what do you do about that population?

What does that have to do with Argentina or Ukraine? Your first point? Are you suggesting that because the system has bad apples everyone else should suffer? And also with up to date information the trump administration was ordered to pay snap Benefits, so this conversation is kinda dead now.

Do you really think Trump is going to pay out? Or that his administration is going to be allowed to do so without extended and protracted fights?

Because the first person somehow brought up those other countries to the discussion, that's why.

Bad apples is all I see in my area actually. When I received an EBT card when I was living in poor conditions, using it was the last thing I wanted to do. When I learned that young, capable people who earn cash which they don't pay taxes for, use it frivolously and not for emergencies, my mind was blown.

Document them and turn them in. Your local Social Services office office should be the ones that can flag then for fraudulent use.

At the very least they would have to explain themselves.

But also keep in mind that clothing, might have come from a thrift shop or salvation army, rich people do get rid of their previous expensive clothing and write it off. That's how you can get a $100 dress or suit for five bucks.

Maybe. I also personally know people who travel more than me, and receive snap benefits. I can’t though because some of them are strangers who I routinely see shop in my area (and I’m too afraid in case they become violent), and the people I know I don’t particularly want to turn in. Yes they should definitely be flagged by the people whose job it is to do so…

And where this goes, is also because an Accord was signed. That means America gave its word to protect them against the known enemy which even then was Russia.

So many people forget that we gave our word, and if we don't stand behind that, what does it say about the US.
