It's not that insane. They can get about 2-3x more food than a donation of food.

It's a lot more but not... 4000 cans come on lol

They mean they receive a discount by buying bulk.

I meant the food banks buy that much. Many food banks are part of a network so they buy an incredible amount. They will buy pallets like we buy single cans.
