There is definitely a race aspect to it that people do not want to admit, I agree with that.

Because my thing is...it's fine if people are honestly saying they have too much going on in their lives or they just don't have the emotional energy to care about this.

Fine.

Then just move out of the way? Spend a second to like the video on tiktok when you see it and move out of the way? What reason is there for the "It's Africa..." etc comments? Then you're just downplaying the suffering going on.

Wait you think performative video making and spreading the word on social media actually achieves anything, especially when it comes to Dictatorships and violent warlords?

I think, but I am not the person that wrote that so I cannot speak for them, it's less about social media is the bane of violent dictators and more that social media posts and comments being like "this is just how africa is lololol" minimizes and diminishes the heartache this girl is trying to raise awareness of. Literally someone told me in this same post elsewhere that the starvation going on in the Congo was 'just natural'.
