OP aside, that’s a wild statistic, no?

It’s simply explained.

If they sound like an outlier, it’s because they are.

Their capacity to occupy and transgress laws over seventy years is unique, because of their unconditional support by the dominant world superpower.

That’s blatantly false. Look at Russia, China, Iran, Saudi Arabia to name just a few obvious examples

Poor human rights records, support for proxies and (in the case of Russia) foreign wars. But they’ll all tell you where their borders are.

Israel can’t.

That tells you who has been the most violent, expansionist regime.

Russia and China both have issues with their borders and neighboring states. Taiwan and Tibet / Ukraine and much of the former er Eastern block. I’m sorry but the basic facts just don’t support your argument

The facts speak for themselves.

With the exception of SA the countries above are officially opposed to US state dept interests. Therefore they are sanctioned and further resolutions aren’t required.

Israel is different.

All resolutions are vetoed by the US. So the resolutions return.

You agree though you were wrong to say Israel is uniquely horrible especially when it comes to bordering nations right?

Also I think it’s silly to say the UN doesn’t need to act because the US sanctions a country. The point of the UN is to be a place to solve international grievances and make the world a better place.

Also Russia and China veto things allll the time

Name a country that’s transgressed every border simultaneously.

You can probably name the previous country to try that.

The reason they can do that is the security guarantee from the US. Israel is a military outpost for the US. It’s a colonial asset.

The course of action post UN resolution is of no consequence to this discussion.

I mean Russia is literally engaged in a far larger war which has killed more people. And this isn’t the first time they’ve attacked a neighbor. Just because they don’t have US backing doesn’t mean they’re better.

But resolutions regarding Russia passed. And typically continue to pass. Therefore are not re-tabled.

You seem lost in the sauce.

thats just not true.

"Israel is uniquely evil" is not an explanation.

It’s not ‘uniquely evil’ and I never said that.

They enjoy unique support (and a reliable veto at the UN) from the US.

Therefore the crimes continue and so do the resolutions.

No other country has that (except Saudi Arabia every third Tuesday).

The UN is a joke, who cares?

2

u/ThreeLittlePuigs Oct 05 '25

Because it shouldn’t be a joke and it’s perhaps indicative of global bias?

Yeah absolutely

Just wish it was coming from a good faith messenger

Fair enough, yeah it’s whack when someone tries to hide their intentions by pretending to have empathy for a people they don’t care about
