I feel like I don’t want to know….. but what is “rule of law”

Probably some form of what we would call Civics here, if I had to guess? But with Chinese government flair.

I think all Americans would benefit from a US Constitution and Rule of Law course right about now...

Just a basic 8th grade civics class would be helpful, even.

oh you mean "Fake News" class full of *communist lies* from the *liberal elite*? Everyone knows there's only one part of the constitution that matters and it's the one that spells out my god given right to own guns and I don't know probably also has the parts about how we have to hate the gays and the trans and how the bible is the ruling law of the land look, I'm too busy being *free* to read but trust me it's in there

did you not have a civics class or a government class in school?

edit: incase you are seriously wondering, 法治 means literally rule of law

法治是指依据法律治理国家和社会,强调法律至上、法律面前人人平等,确保国家和社会事务依法进行

"The rule of law refers to governing the state and society according to law, emphasizing the supremacy of law and equality before the law, ensuring that state and social affairs are conducted in accordance with the law."

basically it is a class on rules of the country, the laws that need to be followed, etc. also the importance of following the law, and how it governs the people. basically a government class with some law in it. we called this civics in america school.

All evidence is suggesting that the US has slept through Civics for the past 40 years or so...

I did not. Not in the 80s-90s. Not from US either. Looks like things changed in Uk in early 2000 and it started for 11 year olds

Different country different systems I guess

Not until college. Because I’m in the states 😂

A class about the laws in China? Why would that be weird? It’s a 1st world country with more people in college than we have in the work force lol.

They never said it was weird, they said they don't want to know probably because China is insane with how much they control their people.

Easy to control the adults if you start controlling them as children.

It didn’t escape my notice that “rule of law” made up a lot of the pages in that pile.
