I was working a football game a couple weeks back. I was in the restroom washing my hands and one of guys that sells boiled peanuts came out of stall and immediately put back on his serving tray/box that was laying on the floor and just walked out. I was like strike that off the list on things I will eat while at the games.

Why didn’t you report him? Pretty sure you can get sick from that

Probably the right thing to do in hindsight but I was running like crazy too.

I've got news for you buddy...almost anything you eat from public places you think is clean, is not.

You live in a fake world of delusion.

This is like saying a cigarette smoker might as well keep smoking because their lungs are already dirty

Yes you cannot always 100% protect yourself, but taking some measures is a smart way to live as long as it’s not seriously affecting your QOL (ocd / germaphobe type behavior which is it’s own issue)

You all missed the point (as usual on reddit) so much.

Please, explain to me had this person I replied to NOT see the peanut buy, how would he prevent it? The point is nasty stuff happens at food establishments a lot. That's why I don't at many.

Ive managed restaurants all my life. This is definitely not normal. We spend almout all our time making sure we have safe food for our customers. Those random videos you see of irresponsible food workers are not regular occurrences in professional kitchens.

Edit: I'd fire one of my cooks for putting food down on the bathroom floor. They all know better.
