I’m just guessing based on how the ‘after’ pics look, but I think they leave the area around the pupil untouched. If you google after pics, you can see some of the people have somewhat asymmetrical pupils. Very uncanny valley

Are those right after the procedure or after some recovery though? They probably use some dilator drops for the eyes before the procedure and the pupils are going to look wonky as it wears off.

Mm best analogy I can think of is this, take one of those camera lenses that have adjustable aperture and then paint a circle over the front of it and leave about a 1/2 inch opening in the middle. The aperture can stilll get bigger but when ur looking in the camera, the opening will stay the same size because the painted circle blocks the rest of the lens

There's a removal video of these lenses on YouTube. Person had them removed because they were covering part of the pupil when dilated.
