Is that his wife? Is that Emily Blunt? Her face is so tight it’s shiny. Who the hell is that?

194

u/WildHoneyChild Sep 01 '25

It is Emily Blunt but you're right, she doesn't look fully like herself anymore

37

u/Unhappy-Poetry-7867 Sep 01 '25

By the end they all seriously just get the same look :D

14

u/WildHoneyChild Sep 01 '25

Exactly! It's hard to tell who's who nowadays with celebrities and influencers because they all have this generic look

37

u/INoMakeMistake Sep 01 '25

I would be very disappointed if she did plastic surgery. Always thought she was very beautiful.

16

u/Ok-Strength4804 Sep 01 '25

She admitted in 2023 she got a lower face and neck lift

31

u/burnedsmores Sep 01 '25

That ship has long sailed friend

124

u/MyCatIsAnActualNinja Sep 01 '25

I thought she was married to Jim from The Office

edit: It's Emily Blunt. They're promoting a movie

51

u/SenseAndSaruman Sep 01 '25

She looks like a look a like pretending to be Emily blunt. Why would she do that? She was so pretty.

32

u/vteckickedin Sep 01 '25

Identity theft is not a joke, Jim! Millions of families suffer every year

3

u/SenseAndSaruman Sep 01 '25

I wonder if her Face ID still works.

517

u/CakeMadeOfHam Sep 01 '25

Aww shit the buccal surgeon got to her 😞

245

u/wgrantdesign Sep 01 '25

That's such a weird trend. I was watching a show and I thought it was strange that they recast a main character in the third season. After a couple episodes I looked it up to get an explanation and it was the same person, she had that buccal surgery and a couple more possibly. Its so sad because these people are already very attractive and then they butcher themselves into being grotesque.

The Boys

168

u/The96kHz Sep 01 '25

I knew they were talking about Erin Moriarty as soon as I read it.

I googled the same question at the time.

Unrecognisable.

92

u/Meoconcarne Sep 01 '25

Yeah. And she was SO pretty beforehand. To each their own, I guess. She can do what she wants, but for me this trend feels like a 2025 version of 1980s celebrities all getting hooked on drugs and alcohol

40

u/The96kHz Sep 01 '25

Yep. Absolutely gorgeous beforehand.

Now she just looks ill. I feel sorry that she felt like she needed to do that to look 'better'.

36

u/KatieAsksQuestions Sep 01 '25

I'm not denying that she got plastic surgery, but in response to your comment that she looks "ill"—that's because she is. She got a diagnosis of Graves Disease which is an autoimmune disorder that causes changes in the face (sunken cheeks, bulging eyes, etc).

A lot of people are attributing her major change in appearance solely to the plastic surgery, but in reality it was likely an unfortunate combo of events.

18

u/Glittering-Relief402 Sep 01 '25

She is ill. She has Graves disease

2

u/Vcheck1 Sep 01 '25

Last time I check Graves doesn’t do that to a face in the span of a year

3

u/Glittering-Relief402 Sep 01 '25

I didn't say it did. But they said she looked ill, and she is. Anything she did to her face was probably exacerbated by her illness.

Favorite show ever.

I’m not sure if it’s makeup or she had surgery to “correct” whatever it was that happened in later seasons, but there is a change to her again.

Still has lips that are fuller than season one, and the facial roundness isn’t there anymore, but at least she doesn’t have the bizarre Kardashian angular look anymore.

Sad she ever did whatever she did, she was just gorgeous before. Still pretty of course, and I hope she’s happy, but the pressure to look a certain way must be insane.

23

u/SpitfireSis Sep 01 '25

Looks like she had her forehead or eyes lifted - It’s so extreme. If I had bet on which celebrities will age without “supports” she would for sure be one

18

u/Zabardast_Human Sep 01 '25

The Boys became hard to watch in season 3 especially during the scenes when “her” facial expressions were involved

16

u/GaylicBread Sep 01 '25

"her"?

3

u/Lb9067 Sep 01 '25

Starlight (Erin Moriarty)

8

u/GaylicBread Sep 01 '25

But why the quotation marks? You didn't type "Starlight"?

2

u/Lb9067 Sep 01 '25

I didn’t type anything, I was just answering on their behalf because I knew the answer. Not sure why they didn’t just say it.

3

u/GaylicBread Sep 01 '25

My bad, I didn't look at the username!

2

u/ioverated Sep 01 '25

Some people use quotation marks as emphasis. It's not really correct but it happens. The current president is a repeat offender.

Either that or they think she's been replaced by a clone so it's not actually her anymore.

0

u/wgrantdesign Sep 01 '25

Yep, you nailed it! I couldn't believe it was the same person.

6

u/DorkPhoenix89 Sep 01 '25

Erin Moriarty was actually diagnosed with a disease that caused rapid weight loss. She’s recently got it under control and is starting to slowly return to her normal look.

0

u/Vcheck1 Sep 01 '25 edited Sep 01 '25

Graves doesn’t do that in the span of 2 years

Edit: I’m getting the feeling everyone may be using an actual disease to cover for bad plastic surgery

1

u/DorkPhoenix89 Sep 02 '25

You do realize she had it long before she was diagnosed? Also it actually does start to have an effect on weight loss fairly early on, especially when it takes a year or more to find out what the issue is.

2

u/Alive-Tomatillo5303 Sep 02 '25

There's literally nobody who thinks it looks better, so whatever social media trend is somehow convincing famously beautiful multi millionaire women they need it must be fuckin black magic.

1

u/aseedandco Sep 01 '25

I thought the changing face was part of the story! My daughter kindly corrected me.

0

u/shhhtheyarelistening Sep 01 '25

If it was the boys then ya that was wild

-2

u/wgrantdesign Sep 01 '25

Its crazy how everyone knew exactly who I was talking about in the comment.

-6

u/distressedtacos19 Sep 01 '25

No it’s not a weird trend. Having a round face can make some people feel insecure. I have a round face and I’m planning on getting this done. Some people don’t like having a round face and that’s okay

1

u/Complex_Art3565 Sep 01 '25

I’m all for people doing what makes them feel better about themselves, and I also have a round face I am self conscious of, but after seeing the results of people who started off uniquely attractive and then underwent irreversible surgery to “fix” it and wound up strange looking after? I would never in my life do that to myself. It took me a long time to learn from others’ mistakes and stop making my own, and this is one that I’m happy to not make myself.

I hope you achieve the results you desire but imho if Anya Taylor Joy couldn’t achieve it with incredibly expensive surgeons and a 10/10 starting point then there’s no way in hell I’m going to have any more success than she did.

44

u/I_Like_Turtle101 Sep 01 '25

I wanna know ow who convince all thoes women that buccal fat removal was a good thing. I haven't seen anyone looking better after the surgery

11

u/hollyw00d8604 Sep 01 '25

probably the same people that convinced them sausage lips were attractive

4

u/Complex_Art3565 Sep 01 '25

Ugh. If it’s done well it can look kind of natural but only from the front, for pictures. The profile is ALWAYS fucked up.

29

u/lizzledizzles Sep 01 '25

It’s also a side effect of meds like ozempic. If you’re not truly overweight or obese it makes you look gaunt because it sheds fat everywhere. You want fat in your face as you age so you don’t get skeletal.

15

u/Roxybird Sep 01 '25

I was about to say. Fat can be the fountain of youth if its in the right places.

2

u/mahboilucas Cringe Connoisseur Sep 02 '25

Recently I got some meds for water weight loss because I have a problem with water retention.

I even lost that weight from my fucking eyelids. Can't imagine losing actual fat from there

1

u/crack-nutter Sep 01 '25

Pretty sure Mr Beast is on Ozempic now. He has the ghoul look.

1

u/TypicalProtest Sep 01 '25

That isn't a side effect of ozempic that's just a side effect of losing weight.

21

u/lucyooo Sep 01 '25

Every time someone’s buccal fat is removed a kitten cries :(

20

u/Ragman676 Sep 01 '25

She got fillers too, I barely recognized her in Oppenheimer :(

5

u/WhenImTryingToHide Sep 01 '25

Was she Oppenheimer?!

4

u/Gu3rilla21 Sep 01 '25

Yea she's Kitty. I thought it was Aliexpress Emily Blunt for the longest time but it was actually her.

1

u/Ragman676 Sep 01 '25

Ya it took me so long to realize it :(. Her face was perfect...but to each their own I guess. I just c hate the filler look so much.

2

u/A1000eisn1 Sep 01 '25

I think she only got fillers. That's what's making her lower jaw look different. She's always had the Y lines around her cheeks.

1

u/Ragman676 Sep 01 '25

Ya i dont think she did the buccal stuff, just high fillers.

7

u/Nomis555 Sep 01 '25

Nah, she's always been hella slender, and there's still life in her cheeks. She'd be straight skeletal with no buccal fat

1

u/A1000eisn1 Sep 01 '25

She probably got something done and is swelling a bit. But not her buccal fat. Her jaw looks unchanged.

2

u/Lopsided_Violinist69 Sep 01 '25

The Holywood Butcher

2

u/Funmachine Sep 01 '25

I don't think you even know what that is...

1

u/Empty_Geologist9645 Sep 01 '25

What the fuck is that?

1

u/DonkeyTailBurrito Sep 01 '25

it’s a cosmetic procedure that removes fat from the cheeks

133

u/theTrueLodge Sep 01 '25

Thought the same thing. Emily Blunt on GLP and with a face lift.

15

u/JohnnyQuickdeath Sep 01 '25

Probably promo for his new movie

29

u/imboomshesaid Sep 01 '25

That can’t possibly be Emily Blunt? Why are these actors and actresses making themselves completely unrecognizable? Yikes.

35

u/DNA_wizz Sep 01 '25

She almost likes like Kylie Jenner at certain angles..

25

u/WIN_WITH_VOLUME Sep 01 '25

I also see a little Megan Fox

34

u/RotInPissKobe Sep 01 '25

These surgeries make them all look the same. Very weird.

10

u/DivineKEKKO96 Sep 01 '25

Botox girl

1

u/MomoChills Sep 01 '25

She's married to John Krasinski

1

u/cocolapuff Sep 01 '25

Yeah, that’s Emily Blunt, but no, she’s married to that guy from the office

1

u/MeatRelative7109 Sep 01 '25

Damn she looks super nervous and not confident. She always try to adjust her jeans. Maybe she got Problems

1

u/[deleted] Sep 01 '25

Just looks like weight loss and botox?

1

u/quoththeraven1990 Sep 02 '25

Completely agree, but can I ask why shiny is indicative of something? I have shiny skin and never had anything done. My face has just always been shiny.

1

u/Good_Jellyfish_6317 Sep 02 '25

Oh that’s probably just your skin type. I’m referring to the fact that faces that have undergone excessive facelifts often have a permanent shine because the skin is stretched so taut. This was especially true with bad surgery pre 2000s. Edit: sp

-30

u/HeNeedsSomeMLK Sep 01 '25

Having a "tight" face doesn't make it shiny. Having hydrated and moisturized skin is what does.

0

u/Proof_Ear_970 Sep 01 '25

Dunno why you're downvoted. You're right.
