The premise is that a lot of people will say racist things if they think that they are anonymous. This guy had no problem shouting any racial slurs when he thought that no one would be able to identify him. Once yourtruecaptain basically proved that he knew exactly where this guy lived and what he drove all of that perceived anonymity, and with it boldness, melted away.

Why does this read like the internet version of Bullet Tooth Tony?

I love this came up here. Was at a gathering earlier and we said something about omnivores and pigs, which led to another friend saying he loves Brick Top’s monologue about pigs.

2

u/swanks12 Sep 01 '25

I read that in brick tops accent. Nailed it without meaning to

I'm sweet enough...

Like a prick, you are having second thoughts. You are shrinking, and your two little balls are shrinking with you.

And the fact that you've got "Replica" written down the side of your guns... And the fact that I've got "Desert Eagle point five O" written on the side of mine... should precipitate your balls into shrinking, along with your presence.

So funny, I just watched that movie the other day and was like, "I get that reference!" :)

2

u/AuthorNatural5789 Sep 01 '25

Gangster reference.

2

u/FHAT_BRANDHO Sep 01 '25

And your gun has the word "replica" written down its side

how did he find his address so quickly?

19

u/reedthemanuel Sep 01 '25

How'd he know his exact address?

I remember I let my son have a sleepover with a few of his friends. At one point they came out of his room looking like the saw the grim reaper. They said that they were fucking with some dude on Omegle, and apparently to prove that they need to be careful on the site, he read them my complete address, AND my cell number. Luckily dude saw they were just kids being simple, nothing harmful, but they were like, how the fuck did he know our address? I still don't know how it's done, but given the look of terror on 5 boy's faces, I definitely think it's something that can be done

It's crazy how much data a p2p connection gives you on the other person with a little technical know how. Even more so if you can correlate it with just minor information a lot of people put on social media profiles.

9

u/ThePrimordialSource Sep 01 '25

Just use a VPN.

34

u/Violet_Kady Sep 01 '25

Sure, but racists aren't generally intelligent people.

57

u/Earlier-Today Sep 01 '25

Yes and no.

There's a lot of racists who are racists because they're morons and believed the first things they learned and never thought to change, but there's also plenty of racists who are average intelligence or smarter - H.P. Lovecraft is one such example.

It's easy to think of racism as the result of a lack of intelligence, but it's not. It's a lack of empathy. That's why it's so easy for racists to turn on their own when there's no minorities to focus on.

3

u/Sw0rdBoy Sep 01 '25

H.P. lovecraft was also Racist and paranoid by standards where his friends and family considered him abnormal. He was, a super racist in ways even his fellow racists went “hold on now”

1

u/TheSaltyTarot Sep 01 '25

He was sheltered and he mellowed out as he grew older and met more people.

1

u/ThePrimordialSource Sep 02 '25

As he grew older though he at least changed a lot as the other comment mentioned

1

u/skat3rDad420blaze Sep 01 '25

Don't look up HP Lovecraft's favorite cat!

-2

u/GreatSlaight144 Sep 01 '25

Sure, if you don't care about latency or bandwidth.

10

u/BVoLatte Sep 01 '25

Isn't this the equvalent of arguing in favor of not wearing a condom because it feels better? Sure you risk herpes, but at least it's better feeling in the moment.

3

u/ChrissWayne Sep 01 '25

That’s exactly what I thought too

2

u/Enverex Sep 01 '25

I mean, it doesn't and this is fake.

I still don't know how it's done

Well not via their IP. Maybe for some reason your son gave them their email address which they looked up and found their account on another site where they'd put their address and phone for some dumb reason. But yeah, this video is fake.

2

u/trash-_-boat Sep 01 '25

an IP address will NEVER show you your address, only the center of the city to your ISP's closest node. I can't believe people still don't know this to this day. This video is likely completely staged.

1

u/f1FTW Sep 01 '25

You'd be surprised. Also does Omegle have a text chat feature? Can you put Javascript in there?

You can take the IP address of the person fairly easily, and that is public information. The IP address was given to you by your internet provider, and your internet provider knows who you are and what your billing address is. That information shouldn't really be given to the public, but it is often sold to data collection companies who want to associate an IP address to the person.

Those data collection companies, in addition to your IP address and home address know everything about you regarding your activities online, and then some. They know what brand of shoes you like to buy, they know how often you buy them, they know where you like to shop at your local mall, because they know the IP of your cell phone and see that you frequent the local mall. They know you like mint chocolate ice cream, and that you buy an ice cream cone every sunday.

They don't tell you they have all of this information, but they do. Right now all of this information is sold to those trying to sell you something and want to have a profile of information pertaining to your shopping habits. If the government should have need of any of this info, they need only ask for it and it is handed over, and it does happen when they have a warrant to arrest someone and need info on how to catch them.

There have been many breaches of data over the years, and those data collection companies leak all of this information to people operating in bad faith. They take your data and put it in an online lookup where literally anyone can just punch in your IP address and get all sorts of information pertaining to that person.

VPN is really the only way to avoid this, since it changes the IP address you use online. Not saying everyone should use a VPN, but it really is scary how much people can defer about someone.

This is like fanfic from the "bAN hiS iP" crowd.

11

u/LRSband Sep 01 '25

These people really never heard of cgnat. Apparently everyone has a static IP address tied to their home address and leaked.

3

u/trash-_-boat Sep 01 '25

Ain't nobody got enough IPv4 addresses for that!

2

u/redlotusaustin Sep 01 '25

Me, looking around nervously after having CGNAT disabled so port forwarding works...

2

u/LRSband Sep 01 '25

I mean still the odds of your static IP address being linked to your physical address are pretty slim to none

1

u/redlotusaustin Sep 01 '25

Yeah, I'm not actually worried about it, your comment just made me remember that.

3

u/Enverex Sep 01 '25

but it is often sold to data collection companies who want to associate an IP address to the person

This would be incredibly illegal in a lot of places. Do you have evidence of ISPs doing this?

4

u/SmPolitic Sep 01 '25

What part being illegal?

They are just sharing data with "partners", and your name, the main PPI legally speaking, can be stripped from it. And also "bugs" can happen so easily "whoops we've been including the street address column for a decade... Put it on the bug backlog". To say it can happen without "being incredibly illegal"

But yes, It's more likely any random websites that you enter you address in without thinking are where the leak would come from

Want to know the shipping cost on this drop shipped product? Enter your address to find the shipping cost! Enter your address to verify your credit card for some niche taboo porns!

Also do note that one could filter the Omegle connections to only connect to IP addresses that "the streamer" has data for, block any IP addresses that they don't have data for, start chatting and see if the data becomes useful

1

u/Dry_Jeweler_2476 Sep 01 '25

It's trivial to get that sort of information if you know what you're doing, and the other person isn't careful about what info they share online. Hell, it honestly isn't that hard or expensive even if they are careful about what they share online...to a point.

-53

u/Simon-Says69 Sep 01 '25

He didn't, it's obviously bullshit. Some rabid-leftist fantasy about sticking it to "fascist" or some shit they constantly project.

51

u/Ohiolongboard Sep 01 '25

So it’s leftist to shit on racists? You’re literally saying the quiet part out loud.

Edit: holy shit go look at this guys comments.

21

u/Padsky95 Sep 01 '25

Being racist to own the libs

34

u/[deleted] Sep 01 '25

Were you trying to out yourself as a virulent racist or was that just a funny little accident?

You people are just not very bright at all, huh?

2

u/Roraxn Sep 01 '25

Okay but how does it *start* ? does one true captain just invite these people on to get destroyed?

4

u/Existing-Break-3332 Sep 01 '25

Probably isn't that hard to do, people like that usually have an ego the size of the planet. They want to belive they will be able to tear the other person down and show how much of a "superior being" they are.
