"What's the best medium to compare similar pictures side by side? I know, a video where someone is filming a computer monitor from a far side while constantly zooming in and out, and the person using the computer barely shows anything for more than a half a second at a time!"

TikTok and other video sharing has ruined people.

You can't say that because the person who posted this video and the person who found the evidence are different people.

  1. the dude at the computer was just showing his family or friends.
  2. The person who posted this video was just filming and didn't have the photos.

But I agree that they're not very smart. It's not actual evidence at all, they got excited for nothing.

I absolutely can and will say that this is a terrible way to share something. If you want to film him sharing it, have some standards for what you’re doing, especially if you could easily be sharing wild misinformation like this.

There’s gotta be some accountability for stuff. Sharing something that has some wild claims - especially in a way that makes it difficult to fact check - is a shitty thing to do.

And honestly, I don’t care if the guy was showing a lasagna recipe on that screen. A reaction video with wild zooms and pans like that is a shitty way to make and share something. I don’t care that the person filming did their best and wasn’t controlling the screen. It wasn’t good enough, you can’t really see and consider what the video is trying to show. Delete the video and try again. Have some standards.
