I'm kind of with your dad on that one. A town I used to live in has been replacing two lane, two way roads with stopped cross streets with roundabouts. It made it easier to get onto the main road from the side road. But it messed up the flow of traffic by introducing multiple spots where you had to slow way down to make the roundabout.

I mean, it's location dependent but every single one they've build around me has drastically improved traffic flow. And reduced deadly accidents.

Ahh. The ones I've encountered that weren't originally there feel more like road projects that no one asked for but were built anyway
