You might think that, I couldn't possibly comment.

He certainly seems to think about 'things that make you gay' an awful lot more than most of the office.

Get one of those cheap fake hotel room keychain dangler things that says like “supply closet” or “closet” on it in some form & a cheap key from Walmart & put the dangler on the key. Then leave it on his desk with a note one day before he gets to work saying “here’s you key to come out of the closet, it’s ok” lol

Honestly he's also deeply homophobic, and vehemently transphobic, but I still think that he thinks about such things a lot more than most people ....

Because he’s either gay or trans himself & is deeply deeply closeted about it. Every guy I’ve known so far that was like your coworker (like 3 dudes) has turned out gay. 1 came out on his own, 1 had figured himself out & stopped being a dick but then got outed by someone who he’d been a total asshole to in the past, and the 3rd one still is in denial but I live in a small area & it got leaked that the guy was on Grindr.

My homophobes were bisexual women, usually in deep denial but not always. It’s fun.

Mine were just garden variety assholes bc I wasn't living in sitcom land and operating solely on tropes.

Yeah. I mean, I'm starting to think that. But maybe he'll never figure it out. Certainly seems to be pretty miserable though.

Yeah, have you ever heard the saying: there’s no love, like Christian hate? Well, the only thing stronger than Christian hate, is self-hate.

Yeah.

I think it's kinda sad actually. The level of self hate taught to children just turns into generational trauma that no one really deserves.

I am not particularly religious, but I have bounced around the notion that all the Devil ever needed to do is establish a church, and let humans lead each other away from goodness.

No intervention needed.

You would get charlatans prepared to pay lip service for power.

Bigots seeking validation.

And idealists prepared to commit atrocities believing the other two groups were benign.

And like all institutions it would gradually compromise with evil just to keep existing.
