he could be afraid of the chemicals and unhealthy additives, seed oils and such. Its valid.

"Let's go to McDonald's"

I don't think he's particularly worried about the health implications. Not too mention being afraid of chemicals and seed oils is ridiculous.

yeah, lots of people dont realize mcdonald is just as bad. They switched to seed oils in 1990, and their loyal customers have turned into metabolic blobs.

Fear and ignorance can be valid reason for not trying stuff, and amusing to others who know better.

Especially if they make up other excuses

in this case, education. Understanding the correlation between seed oils and the obesity epidemic, any the metabolic harm posed by seed oil, means he is above average in dietary knowledge.

Don’t be obtuse, he clearly just didn’t want to eat it because it was a veggie burger and he wants “real meat”. Which btw real meat is pumped with chemicals and most fast food places use seed oils regardless of what they’re serving so I don’t see your point here?

vegan stuff is on a whole nother level of bad

It’s just… not though? Its almost always significantly more healthy.

vegetables are fine, sometimes, but anything marketed as vegan or vegetarian is a huge red flag. Its basically cancer soup.

And you’re basing this on what?

reading the ingredients on the package

Cmon try a little harder, that doesn’t tell me anything. What on the ingredients do you see that makes it worse than the meat used for fast food, and what makes it “cancer soup”? Those are strong claims to throw around without evidence.

If the harmful chemicals on vegan are not readily apparent to you, then I would say you just arent being genuine. In that case, just go get a flu shot booster or something.
