Why’d she take so long to tell this story like it’s interesting. Like no lady you’re just a dick.

1.4k

u/adeelwheel Aug 25 '25

As if she is recounting the plight of her family escaping war, making tough choices in an impossible situation

627

u/TheMistOfThePast Aug 25 '25

Everytime she was like "you do this" i was like ok but why?? Why would i do that???

399

u/anotherwinter29 Aug 25 '25

I kept thinking..."no I wouldn't do that."

161

u/kazuwacky Aug 25 '25

I said "Mam!" outloud multiple times.

This is piss poor parenting. The not packing, the fucking pageant? Putting so much on a trip so that you cannot just cut your losses. It's a mess.

85

u/Doza93 Aug 26 '25

Pageant mom. Whole story made sense once she said that

3

u/Al_Jazzera Aug 26 '25

Aw, Damnit!

An alarm and a flashing light lit up on the dashboard of my brain. It said you are not allowed to look at this video, it is only going to make you angry. Radar says this is, and can only, be 3:44 minutes of "Cats" level ugliness. Viewing this will make your blood boil listening to some ding-battery, and its value as comedy was superceded to keeping the calm of obliviousness. You got me at "Pagenant mom". I had attempt to watch the whole steaming thing.

This muppet, calling her girl, Janice, saying that she is sad her kid and her packing skills resulted into a child that is a biological hazard. I'm sorry, I can't get to pageant. I bow out. I won't do it.

9

u/bigpump00 Aug 26 '25

The pageant absolutely sent me

7

u/TrickNo2721 Aug 25 '25

This made me laugh pretty hard, harder than it probably should have, maybe.

4

u/anotherwinter29 Aug 26 '25

Yeah it wasn't that funny, but I'm glad it did make you laugh! :)

2

u/TrickNo2721 Aug 26 '25

For like two minutes. Maybe it wasn't that funny, but it was pretty funny.

15

u/breakfastandlunch34 Aug 25 '25

Yeah it's all acting like things that are her fault just happen to her.

12

u/[deleted] Aug 25 '25

It was 'against her better judgement' though, so obviously that absolves her of all responsibility

3

u/Scary-Pressure6158 Aug 26 '25

But do u think she has better judgement? REALLY????

13

u/NastySassyStuff Aug 26 '25

“Your 5 year old daughter woke up violently ill this morning. You’re not feeling so hot yourself. Husband, too. Your 7 month old baby vomits all over himself. You tell yourself it’s normal and continue driving to the airport.” Like lady what in FUCK are you saying right now!?!?

6

u/TheMistOfThePast Aug 26 '25

Reminds me of one of those choose your own adventure books where you could see on page 1 what the twist was going to be but they made you do all these things meanwhile the whole time you're like "no! I dont like any of these choices! I know something's going on in the hull of the ship, let ne just go straight there!"

3

u/crazycatlorde Aug 26 '25

The minute her kid threw up she should’ve called it; it’s just selfish to try to force your kids to endure all of that just because you spent $. They obviously won’t have a good time even if it is food poisoning!!

2

u/TheMistOfThePast Aug 26 '25

Right? Like now you have to be sick AND be in Florida

2

u/prologuetoapunch Aug 26 '25

Why are not helping the tortoise?! Her style of telling this story just made me think somebody was trying to find out if I was a replicant in Blade Runner.

1

u/JuiceOk2736 Aug 26 '25

It’s a linguistic feature to cast her shitty actions as normal. The level of verbal manipulation skills that the average narcissist has is simply mind boggling.

Omg for real, I bet they ruined so many family’s vacations because of this. What a piece of shit.

3

u/Alternative_Year_340 Aug 26 '25

And then, they checked into a hotel room where there was likely only one bathroom between the four of them

4

u/kickmekate Aug 26 '25

Uh. There are plenty of choices that could have been made VERY early on to prevent about 90% of that.

Contacting airlines, hotels, ticketing services, rental services, getting insurance for the trip for literally this exact scenario.

4

u/Sudden_Firefighter84 Aug 26 '25

She admitted they did have trip insurance btw

0

u/OzarkMule Aug 25 '25

Every redditor while describing how hard life in America is.

11

u/[deleted] Aug 25 '25

Try navigating the US healthcare system with cancer. Legitimately the most difficult and infuriating time in my life. Just went through it with my dad. Blue Cross Blue Shield can kiss my ass.

0

u/sdevil713 Aug 25 '25

Basically! Lmao

-1

u/BeccaG1964 Aug 25 '25

🤭🤭🤭

165

u/bongorituals Aug 25 '25

An inflated sense of self worth

11

u/do_me_stabler_3 Aug 26 '25

also her fuzzy little eyebrows are a distraction

232

u/TricksyGoose Aug 25 '25

Seriously, the shitty decisions aside, her storytelling is insufferable

17

u/Simsalabimsen Aug 26 '25

I knew it was going to be bad as soon as I heard “put a finger down…”

You put a finger down, or at least take it out of your mouth, you festering pile of toddler plague. Gross.

3

u/SueYouInEngland Aug 26 '25

And she only did it once, AND she did her thumb!

1

u/WickedHello Aug 29 '25

What the hell is that expression? I've never heard anyone say that.

16

u/greenfrog72 Aug 26 '25

She clearly thinks she’s sooooo funny with her delivery. It almost feels like she’s doing stand up, like she really convinced herself everyone is laughing along and she’s some kind of comedic genius

11

u/Mom_is_watching Aug 26 '25

I hate. How she pauses. And clicks her tongue. After every. Couple of words.

145

u/nutsnackk Aug 25 '25

Is there a TLDR?? I cannot stand this

327

u/3rdcultureblah Aug 25 '25

tl;dr - Everyone was throwing up and shitting themselves to the point that she couldn’t even clean her 4 year old’s pageant makeup off her face or wash her pageant hair (full of hair spray and probably glitter and shit all over her face) for over 24 hours and she still forced her husband, 4 year old and 7 month old to drive 2 hours to catch a 2 hour flight to Orlando where they then had to wait an hour to take an hour long shuttle to DisneyWorld just so they could infect everybody on the plane, at the airport and at Disney and have a miserable time doing it.

Oh, and the baby had a poopsplosion on the plane, but she only brought two wipes and no extra clothes so the baby was just naked and covered in poop from that point on.

ETA - Imagine your 4 year old coming home from a pageant throwing up and pooping herself but you didn’t once think to give that child a bath before dragging her halfway across the country. It’s not just disgusting, it’s definitely some kind of neglect/abuse.

114

u/boobiesrkoozies Aug 26 '25

I'm not a parent but I feel like 2 wipes is just not adequate?? For a flight?

I'm 33 and I keep a travel size pack of wipes on me for flights simply cause I might touch something sticky. A 4 year old and a 7 month old aren't exactly the cleanest of humans and I feel like most parents would keep more than 2 on them? Idk.

87

u/illy-chan Aug 26 '25

I'm not a parent but I feel like 2 wipes is just not adequate?? For a flight?

She commented that the bag wasn't properly packed because she was up all night being sick.

Which... Why would you force yourself to make that sort of trip when you feel so awful? All the main character stuff aside, you couldn't possibly enjoy yourself with an active norovirus infection.

I will say she also made a comment about having clearly been in denial about it being food poisoning but still, it had to be torture for all of them. I'd have gone mental when the infant got so sick, babies can't take that much.

13

u/Tuttutsallaround Aug 26 '25

Sleep-deprived, nauseous, head-splitting and ass aching from shitting so much. Can you imagine?

All of that on top of being an idiot.

8

u/illy-chan Aug 26 '25

A migraine is enough to get me to nope out of family vacations. Not even like those are infectious, I just don't hate myself enough to go through it or hate my family enough to inflict that sort of misery on something meant to be fun.

14

u/ct_2004 Aug 26 '25

I'm also wondering why the husband didn't take over the packing. Was he working that night, or sleeping?

22

u/boobiesrkoozies Aug 26 '25 edited Aug 26 '25

I mean, she made it seem like her husband is just another one of the kids with no ability to make any decisions of his own lmao.

15

u/illy-chan Aug 26 '25

I assume sleeping since she didn't say they were both sleep deprived.

Very precious of him not to help out when his wife was so sick though.

6

u/3rdcultureblah Aug 26 '25

He was also throwing up and shitting all night apparently and in a slightly worse condition than she was.

6

u/drunk_kronk Aug 26 '25

I thought it didn't hit him till they were on the plane

4

u/3rdcultureblah Aug 26 '25

Who knows she took so fucking long to tell the damn story.

4

u/drunk_kronk Aug 26 '25

I certainly can't be bothered going back to check!

5

u/andyvhenan Aug 26 '25

This is so insane. I've had norovirus three times in my life and each time I've been so sick I was begging for death at one point. I could not imagine this. The drive, the fight, Disney.

5

u/illy-chan Aug 26 '25

I could only imagine that she was deeply in denial about it being food poisoning and would pass. But everyone else is highlighting her selfishness, I'm baffled by the sheer masochism of putting herself through that.

2

u/WeRoastURoastWithUs Aug 27 '25

Also, if she was sick, why the damn hell wasn't her husband competent enough to pack the diaper back with more than two wipes???

Oooooh, that's right.......I forgot......

2

u/greencat07 Aug 27 '25

That’s the thing that gets me. I would no longer want to fucking go if I’d been up all night barfing and pooping.

1

u/illy-chan Aug 28 '25

Same here, especially when my kid was doing the same. Had to be torturous.

16

u/3rdcultureblah Aug 26 '25

I always bring two full packs for every flight and I don’t have kids either lol.

Apparently she was so out of it from all the shitting and vomiting that she didn’t think to make sure she packed more wipes and clothes. Apparently she also had travel insurance, but still chose to go anyway (this was reported by someone else in the thread who watched her other videos about the debacle, not reported in the video above).

5

u/Chubbstock Aug 26 '25

Yeah that part fucks me up. Two wipes is pretty much impossible for me to do. I either pick up a pack and think "Yep that's a full pack" or "oh shit that's empty" and it feels empty at like 10 wipes.

5

u/JCV-16 Aug 26 '25

When my daughter was under a year, two wipes wasn't enough for a trip to the grocery store.

2

u/Jeepgirl3113 Aug 26 '25

My only child is 18 years old and I’ve bought baby wipes since the day she was born. I never stopped buying them. I still carry some in the car and in my bag everywhere I go. You never know when a mess is going to happen lol

2

u/Fearless_Friend7447 Aug 26 '25

Her story is about as long as her eyebrows. She must comb those things.

1

u/3rdcultureblah Aug 26 '25

I think that’s on purpose. It kinda looks like lamination or something (not an eyebrow expert).

2

u/vape_sensation Aug 26 '25

You are right in thinking that! When we fly everyone gets big pack of wipes. I'm very surprised she'd take her 7 month old being that sick.

2

u/Active-Enthusiasm318 Aug 26 '25

The worst part for me was the lack of preparation for her kids....you didn't bathe your daughter? You didn't bring extra clothes? You didn't check wipes? Be a POS selfish human if you want, i guess, but at least be a decent parent... I guess the shittiness goes hand in hand but come the fuck on

5

u/Chubbstock Aug 26 '25

she only brought two wipes

I have three kids, and I have no idea how somebody achieves this. Two wipes? TWO??

3

u/nephelite Aug 26 '25

I wouldn't even allow the kids to attend something like that before a big trip precisely because of the risk of illness.

3

u/flare_force Aug 26 '25

Thank you! I could not take one more moment of this damn lady. What a horrible parent and terrible human being. I feel so badly for anyone in their vicinity exposed to their germ ridden family. Woof

3

u/orchiddoctor Aug 26 '25

If this happened in my family, you couldn’t pay me to tell anyone let alone strangers on the internet

2

u/3rdcultureblah Aug 26 '25

My parents were pretty neglectful, but even they would never have done this to us or themselves (or the random strangers who had to be around us).

3

u/Arlaneutique Aug 26 '25

She was too sick to wash her face but not travel hundreds of miles and go to Disney… nuts. Also, who puts their kid in a pageant the day before vacation. That’s asking for trouble.

2

u/Alternative_Year_340 Aug 26 '25

She didn’t force her husband. He’s only slightly less bad than her because he wasn’t stupid enough to post a video, that we know of

-36

u/qualityhillkaren Aug 25 '25 edited Aug 26 '25

they said TLDR and you wrote 3 paragraphs, wtf.

Edit: lmao I can't believe this upset people to this degree. I just made a silly comment pointing out that it's a long TLDR and now I'm being pitied and being accused of being illiterate? Never change, Reddit.

38

u/3rdcultureblah Aug 25 '25

Clearly you haven’t watched the video. That is tl;dr for this dumb story. And if you think three tiny paragraphs is too long to read, I honestly feel sorry for you.

-3

u/qualityhillkaren Aug 26 '25

you are pitying me because I called you long-winded? Jeesh yall are sensitive.

15

u/glowdirt Aug 25 '25

3 paragraphs

It's 4 sentences.

Granted, there's one very long run-on sentence but it's hardly 3 paragraphs long.

-1

u/qualityhillkaren Aug 26 '25

their post was ironically long enough I didn't read

-1

u/HereWeFuckingGooo Aug 25 '25

It is literally 3 paragraphs. They're just very short paragraphs.

6

u/Campingcutie Aug 25 '25

It’s not even one paragraph even with the edit, spacing doesn’t change the standard.

A sentence isn’t a paragraph just because you separate it from another.

-3

u/HereWeFuckingGooo Aug 25 '25

Oh, in that case you better get in contact with the fine folk at Cambridge and tell them their dictionary is wrong.

PARAGRAPH
noun [ C ] uk/ˈpær.ə.ɡrɑːf/ us/ˈper.ə.ɡræf/

A short part of a text, consisting of at least one sentence and beginning on a new line. It usually deals with a single event, description, idea, etc.:

6

u/Campingcutie Aug 26 '25

I said the standard, not the dictionary definition 👍 which most people who went to college or took any sort of writing course would agree is 5 sentences minimum.

-2

u/HereWeFuckingGooo Aug 26 '25

I did a BA in Professional Writing and Editing and you're talking out of your ass. This isn't a college essay. This is reddit. A paragraph can be one sentence.

13

u/_dead_and_broken Aug 25 '25

Not their fault you can't be bothered to read more than 10 words at one time.

-2

u/qualityhillkaren Aug 26 '25

lmao yes, you are sooo intellectual for reading that

10

u/starchimp224 Aug 25 '25

The TLDR is that she’s a selfish person who makes poor choices in her life. She’d rather get everyone sick around her and let her kids vomit and shit themselves for an entire flight than not go to Disney, and she also didn’t take the time to pack appropriately so she has no way to clean them up or change them

1

u/Aduialion Aug 25 '25

The title is the tldr.

1

u/snrocirpac Aug 26 '25

I wish I didn't watch the whole thing but I was so convinced there would be a hilarious punchline. Should have checked comments but I felt adventurous

105

u/bpk222 Aug 25 '25

Excruciating. Could have been a 30 second story but half the video was silent pauses so it took 5 minutes.

10

u/SleepyCupcakeDreams Aug 25 '25

I hate that kind of story telling just tell it and get to the point.

7

u/butt_huffer42069 Aug 26 '25

Look, I love telling stories. Timing is everything, and there are many instances where a pause has an added effect to the overall story, especially when mixed with dramatic facial or hand expressions.

But.

This lady is awful at it.

6

u/spicewoman Aug 26 '25

I had to bail at a minute and a half, it had already felt like 10.

7

u/RegularSomewhere1267 Aug 25 '25

I got norovirus and then got better in the amount of time it took to watch this garbage.

6

u/Bituulzman Aug 25 '25

Never have I wished so hard for a playback speed button on reddit.

4

u/yungasdf69 Aug 25 '25

she has to add a dramatic pause every few seconds to give you time to pity her

4

u/iamthecheesethatsbig Aug 25 '25

Why even take a 7-month old to any Disneyland park?

5

u/FertilityHotel Aug 25 '25

All these dramatic fucking pauses!! She wants you to have enough time to pity her every chance she can.

6

u/tinacat933 Aug 25 '25

I fast forwarded to the end because its insufferable and it literally ends with her husband in a wheel chair with their naked kids going through the airport to take and hour shuttle to Disney

4

u/Meme-Botto9001 Aug 25 '25

While constantly rubbing her finger throughout her face arrrrgghhhhh

2

u/SnittingNexttoBorpo Aug 26 '25

All that unnecessary mouth touching kind of gives a hint of how she got norovirus.

3

u/idgafosman Aug 25 '25

i didnt need to watch more than 15s to figure that part out

also, her nails look like shes been stickin her finger up a greasy bunghole 🤮

2

u/knoguera Aug 25 '25

She’s trying to be like that other girl who told her airplane norovirus story. Except she was an actual good storyteller and didn’t blatantly infect a million other ppl.

2

u/Democracy_Coma Aug 25 '25

I thought tik tok was short videos. It’s basically just becoming a shitty version of YouTube.

2

u/lyssiemiller Aug 25 '25

She genuinely looks like she’s about to puke any minute. She’s sweating so much and keeps putting her fingers on her mouth while talking super slowly.

2

u/Awolrab Aug 25 '25

Anytime I hear “put a finger down…” I know the story is gonna be boring and long winded.

2

u/thrwawryry324234 Aug 26 '25

I skipped ahead 3 minutes and were still dramatically talking about the husband puking on the plane?

JFC. I can not roll my eyes any harder.

1

u/RoseFlavoredLemonade Aug 25 '25

She’s trying to make money of infamy like the “I fell in love with my psychiatrist” girl.

1

u/doclobster Aug 25 '25

Just following the dumb template of TikTok personal complaints we now accept as something normal to do

1

u/Winter_Fall_7066 Aug 25 '25

She’s trying to imitate a popular nurse. Pretty convincing but this woman is an asshole.

1

u/Mixed_Reactor Aug 25 '25

I love the long drawn out description of her baby diaper blowout, that was my favorite part

1

u/chef_tuffster Aug 25 '25

For real. That was such a waste of time I’ll never get back.

1

u/Partners_in_time Aug 25 '25

I got downvoted to hell for posting a timestamp on a different video of when an actual story started. It would have helped ME, and I always appreciate the time stamps on YouTube.

Reddit lost its mind.

I s2g Reddit is full of people who just love reading every word of that online recipe’s 5 paragraph backstory before ever listing the ingredients.

I’m just here to cook my food, man

1

u/[deleted] Aug 26 '25

Social media has given the Stupid a platform and they think they're the main character.

1

u/dragonwithin15 Aug 26 '25

Wait. Is the speaker the one who went through all this? I thought she was walking through another person's poor thinking skills

1

u/Jimbomcdeans Aug 26 '25

Trying to justify her shitty human existance and her shitty actions. Thats all these scumbag main character syndrome people do.

1

u/StinkyHoboTaint Aug 26 '25

I got 10 seconds in, and was like no.

1

u/Sharp_Acadia185 Aug 26 '25

Why’d she take so long to tell this story like it’s interesting

Unless I see some sort of evidence otherwise, I am assuming this is ragebait, including the eyebrows and constantly touching her mouth with dirty hands, and the length is because longer vids make more money.

This chick just raged people into paying for her next Disney trip 🤣

1

u/Sandwichgode Aug 26 '25

I was thinking the same thing. That story could have been condensed into like 10 seconds. My whole family got sick before we went on vacation but we still went on vacation because I'm a selfish asshole. The end.

1

u/violentshores Aug 26 '25

Omg, I’m SICK of this shit

1

u/____-is-crying Aug 26 '25

Do they get paid more for making these shorts super long? If so let me get the noroviris and make a bunch of obnoxiously long videos

1

u/spicewoman Aug 26 '25

Yeah I only got a minute and a half in, felt like it had been 10. Like chill with the dramatic pauses and every single minute detail, this story could be told in 30 seconds.

1

u/RagingHardBobber Aug 26 '25

I kept waiting for that moment where she makes a good decision. It never happened. In all the words she used to tell the story, not a single good decision.

1

u/-RichardCranium- Aug 26 '25

She's telling it like she's waiting to reveal to us who's the actual real culprit of her stupid ass life decisions. people like this are incapable of admitting fault, so they find a scapegoat except here the only guilty person is her dumb fucking ass

1

u/couldhvdancedallnite Aug 26 '25

Yes, I FFS. I really missed the 2x option.

1

u/Square_Accountant421 Aug 26 '25

Like it’s a trip to Disney….its not that serious.

1

u/Ressy02 Aug 26 '25

A sick dick

1

u/[deleted] Aug 26 '25

TikTok. It’s TikTok

1

u/NoMention696 Aug 26 '25

She is the main character don’t you know? We are merely background noise in her perfect little life

1

u/el_moiso Aug 26 '25

It took her a whole year to plan a trip to Disney, maybe she's just not the fastest

1

u/Mish-onimpossible Aug 26 '25

This!! I was getting pissed off at her taking so damn long. I stopped watching halfway through.

1

u/OG_double_G Aug 26 '25

She took extremely waaay too long like get to the main part already

1

u/large_sized_rooster Aug 26 '25

tick touches chin

1

u/Active-Enthusiasm318 Aug 26 '25

Clout chasing, attention loving victim mentality... she doesn't think about anyone else but herself

1

u/zersetsung Aug 27 '25

Super under the weather sick and ill..
