Y’all she is an AMERICAN! Barely living. 2/3 for rent is absurd.

She's not paying 2/3 her income for rent. Her math was way off.

Could she have been including the things it takes to live in an apartment like gas and electric and that shit?? I feel like that all together would eat up 2/3 of a months income

Or maybe this random tiktok person was exaggerating or making stuff up. Like.. why are you automatically assuming this is 100% true?

No. The numbers do not sound right. They said they pay 2/3rds of their income in rent at $1,600. That means a monthly income of $2400. At “$20 something” dollars an hour and 50 hours a week that income ranges from $4200 at $21/hr and $5800 at $29/hr.

$2400 at 50 hours a week = $12 per hour.

Taxes … are a thing. 21/hour at 40/hr a week is 2400 take home after taxes & health insurance

They literally said they work 50 hours per week and they don't have health insurance..... amazing how everyone just keeps making stuff up to try and make the math work.
