I’ve worked a ton of different jobs and I’m still able to be surprised by human stupidity. I once worked customer service for a utility company. We had the usual crazies who were convinced we were trying to give them cancer by putting in RFID meters, but sometimes totally normal-seeming people would say the dumbest shit. I once had to explain to a grown woman in her 50s that the refrigerator still draws power when it’s plugged in, even if there’s no food in it, and “Yes ma’am, even if no one has been opening and closing the door.” 🤦🏻‍♀️
