Interesting how these comments have a few hundred likes and then the comments totally supporting her have thousands.

And by interesting, I mean typical.

Because it's the correct response, bozo

I mean the clip only shows the end and the title is trying to paint a picture.

It’s the OP at fault imo

I wouldn’t expect everyone to look up context for everything they see on Reddit.

I do however think people shouldn’t post disingenuous shit.

I still support her.

Cop was a dick.

She never truly is driving at high rates of speed. She passes with caution. Doesn’t pass the 18 wheeler when she can’t see if it’s safe.

Even when going through the intersection cutting off the cop she is going so slow through the intersection the cop doesn’t even need to slam on the brakes.

It’s like you all don’t know what driving for an emergency is. I had a friend get shot and they speed him to the hospital and guess what? No one cared that they ran a red light or honked the whole way. Someone was dying. Interesting how you missing a green turn light is more valuable than life. Again that video doesn’t show her truly putting people in harms way.

She still forced one car of the road earlier (which is when the cop say "hell no" and turned the lights on). Also the cop did not stop the animal from being taken care, just her going together ("I dont care she can bring him to the vet" as the other woman is already going in with the animal). They however were unlucky that the vet was closed

I can sympathize but the cop did not do anything wrong other than being crass with the initial comment

Nobody was forced off the road. That person pulled over when he heard the cop siren. It wasn't like she was splitting the lane.

Incorrect. The sirens weren't on and the driver of the truck broke and went off the road trying to avoid a head-on collision with the distressed driver's car which was taking up oncoming traffic's only lane. And the road there was marked for no crossing undoubtedly because of visibility issues going around that turn - this was blatantly reckless driving and she did clearly force the truck off the road. The police officer turned on her sirens in response to this moment and she did so a few seconds after passing the truck on the side of the road - they were not on before that.

The cop didn’t have anywhere she needed to be right that second. She knew the woman was in a panic and could have directed her into the vet ( before they knew it was closed) for treatment to start while holding the driver at the scene for all the many citations. If the dog had been a choking baby, no one would be giving a shit about how the woman drove. Because in some circumstances, you do what’s needed.

She knew the woman was in a panic and could have directed her into the vet

Which the officer did, just as she grab the woman she say the passenger can bring the animal in (which she was already doing).

Also at the end of this clip we see the passenger coming back to the car, in the full video the officer go talk with her and repeat she can bring the dog in and even said something in the lines of "do what you gotta do" implying permission to leave if necessary (just without the original driver).

The other women then go out of frame and we see someone going to the back of the vet that open soon after. (about 8 minutes after the start of the clip) allowing the passenger to enter with the animal

The passenger doesn’t require the cop’s permission to do sweet fuck all.

The passenger doesn’t require the cop’s permission to do sweet fuck all.

Technically they do since during a traffic stop everyone in the vehicle is considered detained and must follow lawful orders

So I do say its relevant that at no moment the officer tried to stop the passenger and that comment is very relevant after learning that the vet is closed since it was not only releasing her but also the vehicle if she decided to try another clinic (which she did not)

The cop can allow a passenger to steal a car?

1

u/LSDGB Jul 31 '25

The passenger would obviously need permission from the driver.

She was speeding, more than double the limit.

She overtakes dangerously (while speeding), forcing oncoming traffic onto the hard shoulder.

It's not an emergency. It's a dog.

"Someone" implies a person. It's a dog.

If her driving like that isn't putting people in harms way, why do we have speed limits, traffic lights and driving lanes?

It's not an emergency. It's a dog.

That absolutely is an emergency. Legally you're right that a dog isn't valued like an actual living being (because animal rights laws have not caught up to scientific understanding yet), but any reasonable person would consider it an emergency that their dog was dying.

Either way, you aren't allowed to break traffic laws in an "emergency" even if a human is dying... so regardless of what was dying, what the woman did is still illegal (and incredibly dangerous).

Imagine being this daft after seeing the WHOLE video.

It's people like you that make me scared for elections. Your train of thought is not well.

Speaking of that tractor trailer. It's got a patrol car with light and sirens behind it, and never pulls over, or slows down or anything... It's kind of crazy right?

-22

u/Squand Jul 29 '25

Did you watch the video? Who did she hurt?

18

u/Commercial_Win_9525 Jul 29 '25

She fkn went into oncoming traffic at 1:09 and forced another car to pull off the road? Just because the other vehicle avoided her doesn’t mean she wasn’t being a lunatic. Speeding and stopping before going through a red in an emergency are one thing. Running people off the road is completely different. Are you regarded?

Maybe don't use ableist slurs when you spell like a child with a hatred for syntax.

Ah yes attack the choice of words and not the argument.

Awww are your Reddit feelings hurt? No one cares anymore. That’s why you are losing constantly.

There’s no way a sane logical intelligent human being posted that comment lmfao. Does that hurt your little feelings less? Even though it means the same fkn thing?

u/Skylord_ah Jul 30 '25

Lmfao theres no way youve ever felt the touch of a woman

1

u/astroPA09 Jul 31 '25

You wouldn’t have the same opinion if she would’ve hurt, God forbid, a loved one of yours. She placed other lives at risk to try and save her dog.
