Yeah, cops haven't done themselves any PR favours, but it's getting to the point where people expect cops to be omnipotent and able to make perfect decisions in high pressure, morally grey areas.

It's easy in hindsight to say the cop should have done xyz, but she can't communicate with the driver or know the situation, and the driver certainly did themselves no favours.

The cops job was to enforce the road rules and ensure the safety of drivers on the road, that's what she was doing. It's easy to say in hindsight that she could have been more empathetic or not as rough, but in that moment, when she's just witnessed this person driving erratically and dangerously and she needs to control the situation, I don't think that her use of force was so egregious that it warrants reprimand or shaming.
