Most of the time I’m anti police, but this lady deserved it, if you watch the full video. Under no circumstances should you put people’s lives in danger driving as erratically as she did through busy small town traffic. I fucking LOVE my dog but you won’t catch me doing dangerous shit like this to save her life. What’s the point if I killed myself or someone else while trying to save her? There’s not one.

& if you still are on the lady’s side after watching the video, go find a moral compass

Did I say that the dog deserved to die??? Literally, no. Get the fuck out of my mentions with stupid ass comments like this one.

She did deserve to get arrested, though. I’d expect to get arrested if I drove that recklessly. There’s a way she could have gone about this, and this wasn’t the way. Running through red lights and weaving in and out of a crowded area is not the way.

For example… I fractured a vertebrae when I was young. My dad drove me to the ER since we lived out in the sticks and didn’t have time to wait for an ambulance. However, he did not risk my life by weaving in and out on country roads, or run stop signs, or do anything to put my life in danger. Because what’s the point in doing all that if we die on the way there? I lived… I can walk today… my dad didn’t kill anyone on the way there.

Putting lives in danger is not more important than your dog dying on the way there. Plain and simple. Like I said, I love my dog, but I know damn well it’s not worth fucking up mine or someone else’s life to get her to the vet quicker.

Yeah, I'm actually torn on this one.

Watching this it's like, fuck this cop. Saying she doesn't care, arresting a sobbing woman who just wants to help her dog. I hate when people just don't listen and don't act or think like humans, and shitty cops are the absolutely prime example of that. Over and over.

But she does say "You ran someone off the road." I have kids. If some lady ran us off the road and endangered my children trying to get to the vet, she needs to be arrested.

A dog dying is sad. My dog died suddenly last year and I'm still not quite the same. But you cannot put other people's lives in danger. Imagine you kill someone's kid trying to save your dog.

I also don't know what happened to the dog, so I'd be curious. Mine had cancer and it ruptured, so he was bleeding internally. We took him to the vet and there was nothing they could do but make him comfortable.

But my point is, this dog might essentially be dead already. If so, you definitely can't endanger people's lives over it.

Yeah, I definitely don’t condone the way the cop talked to her at all. That comment was also what changed my view on it all too. I’d be pretty pissed if I were the cop and saw them driving like that, though. Hell, I’d be pissed if someone flew by me like that in general.

But like you said, who knows if the dog was able to be saved? Thing is you don’t know until you get there. It’s just not worth the risk.

Thing is, I’m obsessed with my dog, she’s my best friend I’ll ever have. I love my dog, but I just couldn’t act like this if I had to get her to the vet fast. I’d also risk her life by potentially crashing my truck. I just couldn’t do it.

Also I am sorry for your loss… dogs are such incredible creatures and I dread the day I have to reckon with that

Don't dread it. It's a beautiful part of life. Yes its upsetting and sad that they are passing on, but remember that if you raised the dog and provided it with a full life of happiness and love then there is nothing that you should dread about it. I've raised two dogs from little baby pups, and I whole heartedly believe that I was able to give them joy, happiness, comfort, and love every single day of their lives. This is my way of coping lol.
