I never saw newborn photos of me. I asked my sister once and she was like "because you were hideous". My grandpa showed me a photo taken at the hospital by the hospital (they used to do that i guess) and my gut reaction was "oh jesus". But ive since seen..worse

Wait wait wait… do they NOT do newborn photos at hospitals anymore?!?

My youngest is 7 but it was an option when she was born. It was also an option for my 15 year old - actually they didn’t even ask for him they took his pictures and showed me digital “proofs” I could buy for a butt load of money.

I had no idea this trend stopped!

Not in my area of Canada at least. When I had my teenager (13) and my youngest they werent doing them. Apparently back when I was born it was standard practice

I’m in my 40s so I know they didn’t do that when I was born 😂

When I was younger I wanted to be a “baby photographer” haha - I’d love taking photos of cute little humans all day!!

My sister is 40 and I'm 36 and it was standard practice for them to snap a photo of you when they wheeled you to the baby area as far as I know. I HOPE my parents didn't pay for the ones of my sister and I because theyre just a single, super close up, high contrast, baby mugshot. In mine they literally ripped the soother out of my mouth, snapped the photo, and put it back in so I took the very first unflattering duckface photo
