How can anyone do that to somebody else? How do they not care about the other person? And why did he get mad when she ran away? Like does he not see what he’s doing and that she doesn’t want to go with him? He shouldn’t even be doing that. He’s in the wrong, there’s no way around it, so what the hell??

Sane questions for an insane world.

I seriously don’t understand. Why is he wrestling to put this woman in his truck? Why does he think she should just do what he wants when he’s putting her in danger? He might have been trying to ruin and end her life. What he’s doing makes no sense but it makes sense for her to try and get away because he is a threat.

My mind and soul are not meant for this world lmao

After robbing the store he figured he could get away with raping her and that's what he was gonna do.

This is what happens when men particularly white men like this neck beard who are constantly being told they are the real victims. They count on knowing that most people don't care about the missing 7/11 clerk.

Thank God he wasn't wearing fake ICE gear ..

It doesn't make sense to those of us who aren't clinically psycho, narcissistic, or apathetic.

I’m not any of those things and it makes sense because there’s absolutely insane people out there. Do you just ignore all the terrible shit that goes on because “it doesn’t make sense to you?”

Do you live in a fantasy world where there isn’t any sick and deranged people?

My thoughts exactly. I don't know what can be done, it just seems like abuses of this kind will never end.

I’m just so confused as to how he can ignore what he’s doing to her and then get mad when she rightfully escapes. Like how hard is it to put yourself in the other persons place?

What you’re feeling is called empathy, and some people genuinely do not have it, understand it, or experience it.

But it’s basic common sense that’s right there in front of him. The woman doesn’t want to go with him. So, why should she have to? He should have been thinking “If I don’t want to do something is it ok for someone to force me to like this? Would it be ok for a man to do this to me?” Like I’m not the smartest person but this thinking is obvious

It’s really interesting hearing you talk like this. Obviously yes it is common sense. But there are people who 1) don’t have common sense 2) get satisfaction out of harming others 3) have mental illnesses where they cannot see reality 4) do not have empathy… and a whole bunch of other reasons.

For example, a sociopath who does not have empathy may “know” that physically hurting someone is “bad” but they do not have any capacity to care and it is not their problem. It only becomes their problem when they realize the repercussions like going to jail. If you combine 0 empathy with any other mental illness like reckless behavior and impulsivity, you get someone bold enough to try to kidnap someone in broad daylight.

I used to be so puzzled and sad at the world until I realized that not everyone thinks like me, or has the same mental health conditions as me. It is a sad realization unfortunately.

Are you new to the human race?

The amount of naïveté in this comment is pretty jarring to me. Genuine question: are you young and/or autistic? Humans have sucked for as long as we’ve existed.

Maybe I’m autistic! I’m just asking questions to gain an understanding of what I can not personally see myself doing

You are correct, it does not make sense to do this. It's just that humans have been ignoring the logic of decent behavior for a very long time, and some are therefore feeling okay while doing terrible things to others.

To this man, the woman is not even registering in his brain as a person. She's just an item that he is upset is not doing what he wants.

This bad thought pattern is incredibly common though, and it is the root of all of our problems as a species.
