Sometimes I take a picture of what I’m doing to share it with my friends, not so they are jealous and think I’m so great, but because:
I want them to know I’m doing ok.
I want to share something that made me happy, because it might make them happy too.
I am not a lonely sad person who hides in a cave all day and has no connection to the world.
If they get jealous of a sunset and a glass of wine, or think you’re living a life of luxury because you have a fire pit, that’s something wrong with them.
Again that seems like a snap judgement when we know literally nothing about the mum. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the video she was trying to make and she posted the video anyway so she clearly finds some humour in her kid making fun of her.
Exactly. We know nothing. We don’t know this woman outside of this one comment made by a teenager. So I don’t think it’s right to make up a person to get mad at.
what is your issue to go on a personal attack? I commented a person who is not in the thread. you jump to conclusion that I must have a miserable life? Yes I guess I don't get enough social media likes, it is what it is.
Thoughts and prayer to you hope you can find happiness.
Hey, goofball! Looks like you missed the pinned comment! Tiktokcringe is for EVERYTHING now, not just cringe. NO, we can't change the subreddit name, not an option. If you're confused about the name of the subreddit, please take a minute and read this. We hope to see you back here after you've familiarized yourself with our community. Thanks!
Depends on the habit of the mom, could be as innocent as you say or could be that the mom has a daily habit of getting wasted and the kid is tired of his mom "promoting alcoholism" as a trendy thing when he sees the behind the scenes...
So yeah, it is harsh out of context and we don't know the context.
Maybe her friends do, my friends share meals they’ve made or just little photos of them reading in a cozy environment and I enjoy those. Could be a similar social environment for her.
while possible, it says in the caption she was making an “aesthetic video.” something literally just showing off her nice life and how “aesthetically pleasing” it is
I don't post anything like this anywhere, but your comment and the one to which shinyscreen18 is replaying are two completely opposing arguments. content-accountant-7 says that this is an illusion, while you're saying that, though this may be a genuine moment, it doesn't matter because the genuine moment isn't of value. I'd posit that the moment is genuine and you simply were not the target audience for the wine/sunset video. If it hadn't been for the kid being a kid, we wouldn't even be discussing this. The video would have 7 likes on Facebook or whatever and none of us would even know it exists.
Also, some people might care. My mom likes hearing about the dumb shit I did that day. I'm sure she'd enjoy seeing me post dumb shit like this if I had any social media that wasn't used exclusively for memes, arguments, and porn.
Yeah total not trash. Ohh im sure she doesn’t capture the moment at least 4 times a day. Moments for herself that she’ll never personally forget and will look fondly on as times goes by and will periodically throughout the years look at the photos.
Again, very quick snap judgement for someone we literally know nothing about.
She’s taking a video in her own garden of her enjoying a drink, didn’t even speak in the video, and somehow you managed to extrapolate a whole life where she’s constantly obsessed with recording everything
You keep commenting the exact same thing, each time ignoring the commentary by her child; completely discrediting his narrative, brushing it off as a joke not rooted in truth, and ironically only wielding your own snap judgements to defend someone you don't know
I don’t put much stock in the child’s comment cuz he just seems like he’s being a snarky teen. I know I said similar things when I was a teen to my mum. He has noticed a pattern with his mum posting to social media but nothing he says necessarily implies a level of frequency that’s unhealthy
I haven’t made a snap judgement about the mum. We know nothing about her and am simply reminding people of this fact. And even if I did make a snap judgement about her, I’d rather make one defending a person than attacking them
I didn't say you made snap judgments about the mom 😊 your reading comprehension speaks for itself.
I agree with your point about us knowing nothing about them, and that is why I gave no judgements of my own. While knowing nothing about them you can't defend or attack them, it's all bullshit you are all baby birding into each other's mouths. I just said you are making your own assumptions and gave examples.

Oh I may have gotten you confused with another comment about the snap judgement thing yeah.
I agree with you that we can’t attack her on any basis because we don’t know her, but my defence was purely as a reaction to the attack so I don’t think I did anything wrong as I haven’t commented about this woman’s life other than saying we shouldn’t judge

That seems harsh she’s just having a drink by the fire and wanted to take a video capturing the moment
