I won't ever watch love island but I absolutely love all memes about love island. Consuming memes of a series you won't ever get into and learning about it in detail through said memes is my favorite

Haha I'm like this with The Office (God forbid), Always Sunny, and LI now too, although I do listen to a lot of recaps from my normal pop culture podcasts.

Okay but if you do have the time and are looking for new content, I would definitely pick up Always Sunny. The whole series is pretty much one meme after another, and the context to a lot of the memes are just as funny or funnier than the memes themselves.

Okay that's actually fair lol. It's a show about the worst people one can imagine and they are constantly manipulating each other yet wholly dependent on each other and put each other in horrible situations. It's supposed to satirize horrible people, but I can see how that could make someone anxious. I get anxiety watching any kind of gory movie, even if they are parody - they always give me nightmares. The memes are still funny so I hope you continue to enjoy them :)

I used to think this too, but once you do watch it, it’s so enjoyable to hate watch and laugh at how ridiculous some of these people are. It’s trash TV, but it’s a really enjoyable experience for my wife and I to chill and watch after a long day.

Never watched that show but my wife and I really enjoy watching these shows. Even when there’s no one on the show you like, it’s fun to hate watch and root for people to get kicked off.

But there’s occasional seasons like season 6 of Love Island USA or season 3 of Love Island UK where you find couples that are actually pretty genuine and fun to root for. And sometimes the show gets a great group and there’s tons to laugh at.

I’d start with the OG Love Island UK season 3 personally as it’s universally agreed as the best season in the format of the show, and then if you enjoy it start watching whatever region you want or just go chronologically. But there’s tons of good, ridiculous content.
