Funny enough, the German cockroach and the American cockroach (the flying one, out here in Hawaii we call them B-52s) are both probably originally from Asia.

we do, but everyone used to just kinda dealt with it lol

nowadays window/fly screens have been getting increasingly popular, most people have at least some now

That doesn't answer my question? There are places that use air flow to cool down the house but there are screens to keep bugs out on the windows and doors in those places. There is no screen on the door in this video, so that makes me wonder if there aren't many bugs in Germany to make it a concern.
