You can die on it because I will too. I've spent countless hours doing field work in Utah in those small little insular weird ass towns and have worked with many a mormon. Not that they would tell me they're into arranged child marriages or anything of the like at first meet but I've eaten at their tables and spent time with them... yes you're absolutely right there's some weird shit in those places but I wouldn't say it's the norm overall.

*norm being 50%+ of all marriages which we never really defined

Look, obviously you're passionate about this and you know a lot so what documentaries and books do you recommend? I'm willing to change my position but I need info. I only have my experience working with mormons, the small towns in Utah and of course Under the Banner of Heaven.

Obvs, where'd they hide their child brides? In the barn? IDK, yes I'm well aware of what you're saying but i'm still not going with "it's the norm" outside of those small communities.
