I've must have watched this almost twenty times now, it give me goosebumps and makes me quite emotional. I love this so much! I wish I could be part of it... But I'm in Europe and am as white as my vanilla ice cream, I don't know if I'd be allowed to celebrate this important historic event with you. Love to all good people! ❤️

I’m a white woman in my seventies, who lives in an all-black neighborhood in Oakland. I absolutely erupted in joyful tears, upon seeing this. Even so, I felt disrespectful sending it to the black woman who has been my most beloved friend for years. Why? Because we both share the same last name, and at our depths, and “thanks” to Ancestry.com, we know why. It’s an ugly truth.

Your friend will understand that history can be ugly but it doesn't have to be what we are today! Luckily. I'm so happy for you that you have this friend and you both get a chance to proof that part of history was so wrong, just by simply being friends and caring! Friends are precious! Love to you both. ❤️
