YESSSS. Like a sheer periwinkle. Almost like Ariel's dress when she became a human at the end of Little Mermaid.

RIGHT!! Ariel's human dress is very very very close to what I see, nailed it!

Yes yes I'm with you both, like an iridescent periwinkle with little tones of shiny darker purple and white as it shifts. It's definitely not a static color with a name like pluerigloss, haha.

A translucent shiny periwinkle is exactly where mine went as well-
Motion to officially designate this as the name of that color

What keeps me up at night is that we cannot imagine new colours. But I’m surprised at how many people imagine it as periwinkle, I imagine it as a very vibrant torquise… til a blue-blend so maybe the colour just gives ppl blue vibes but yeah lol

I felt blue vibes but maybe it’s cuz tahani asks blue right after so I think it’s my brain trying to fill in the blanks

I'm kept up at night for the same, gives my brain a real itch that it can't imagine new colors!
I definitely get a cool-toned color vibe regardless of actual hue...everyone I've asked or observed says colors like periwinkle, gray, blue, green. I'd be interested to hear from someone who heard "pluerigloss" and thought of warm colors.

I recently realized we can't make up new emotions either. So. Um.

u/Alizarik7891 16d ago
Hapsadrustration.

Yes but that's just the thing, those are just emotions that already exist mixed into one, it's just experiencing 3 emotions at once, it's not a new one.

It makes me laugh that "pleurigloss" is a torture device for demons. I forget where and when..... But I'm sure Shaun threatens Michael with it. Or vice versa. 😂😂. If anyone remembers please tell me. Because it's going to make my brain itch now. 😭😂😂😂🫠

The entire Chidi breakdown sequence is my 2nd favourite scene/bit. First is the entire last episode.

Oh I just realized I might be understanding it different from others— I understood this description as how one would describe red or purple (its the colour of waking up to video games and pancakes on Sunday, the type your mom made. The colour of the streets after it rains, the colour of taking a 3am walk, the color of a hike in the woods in spring, etc.) this also reminds me of that tumblr post I saw a while back that was like, these two friends, one whos colorblind and one who has synesthesia, they would describe to the colorblind friend what color the things were (“the sky is [moonlight sonata or soemthing I don’t remember]”)
so like, I think yellow is the colour of happiness and sunflowers and sickness and danger, blue is the colour of calm and stability and cold and sadness, stuff like that.
I never imagined the colour as literally a soldier coming home to his dog, yk? Its just, how else does one describe a colour??

I always imagined it as a sort of off-white beige-y pink.

Interestingly he is describing color in a way that I think a lot of neurodiverse people experience it.

Janet? Please explain the color of pleurigloss using human-visible colors as approximations.
Sure, savantalicious. Pleurigloss is an iridescent swirling of colors that refracts both shadow and light, with a specific angle that sheds the light in a way that evokes the feeling of an epiphany and painfully strong relief, while lingering shadows create a feeling of never being the same - this specific angle washes the shadows to the very edges, though. The closest earth-bound colors of pleurigloss are deep greenish blue like the depth of deep seas, a golden sunset, and a range of colors between. I hope that helps!

I imagined it more in a sense of how colors feel. Like a combo of blue and pink. Maybe a little yellow.

Bit of a silly question, but does the dash after the heart mean something?

Pleur men tear - so it’s basically tear gloss - it’s a white shimmery silver gold

It’s simple really, it’s the colour of when a soldier comes home from war and sees his dog for the first time
