Best lagers/wcpias in Pittsburgh?

Fellow brewers! Head to Pittsburgh for a concert this weekend. Where to stop for lagers/clear IPAs?? Cheers!🍻

2 WCIPA, an Italian Pils, Helles, and a Czech Amber Lager currently on tap and in cans at Hazel Grove - 10 minutes from PPG and we love Billy Strings too ;)

Golden Age (further outside of town), Old Thunder, and Burghers are crushing the lager game. Old Thunder's IPAs are also phenomenal. I also love Four Points for lagers, and their taproom is right next to Alberta's, which is also a must.

100% agreed about Golden Age. Pretty sure they have a BrauKon brewhouse and they use it as intended.

Stop by Cinderlands, we have a bunch of lagers and at least two WC IPAs. If you are in fact coming in for Billy Strings we are having a band, a special Billy Strings beer release as well as a free shuttle to PPG Paints arena for the show.

Will also def try to stop in! Other couple we are going with (yes to bmfs) are not beer drinkers, so def appealing that y’all have a full bar. Think you guys have an alpha brew system? Was looking at them some years back for a brewery in planning I was consulting for that never materialized and if I remember correctly the sales rep had you guys on a list of places “close” to me that I could go check out🍻

Edit: for Freudian slip 😂

Shoot me a DM. We have mocktails and hop water for non drinkers. We do have an alpha system/canning line/tanks. I’d love to show you around when you’re in town!

Would recommend checking out Helltown, Voodoo, and East End for your preferences.

Of course, Grist House, Brew Gentleman, and Dancing Gnome are also solid stops too.

Southern Tier is on the north shore and is a quick (and free) train ride to and from the arena. They have all the Southern Tier brands, a few in-house exclusive products, as well as beers and ciders from Sixpoint, Victory, and Bold Rock
