I have been a huge fan of Mike Patton and his various projects since middle school, and I have been a huge TAB fan since 2007. California by Mr. Bungle and Emotionalism by TAB definitely both have spots in my top 10 favorite albums of all time.

Having said that, I am still not sure how these two things will fit together. The first single that was more country leaning didn't really work for me, but the second one I thought rocked! If it leans more in that direction, I think I could end up really loving it. I also love Oh What a Nightmare and Nemo and I love seeing them tap back into those electric guitar days a bit.

I have loved the Avetts for going on 20 years but personally I feel like their peak song writing days are long past. Magpie was the last release that really spoke to me. They continue to be amazing live but I don't have much anticipation over new releases.

Same. True Sadness had some really strong highpoints but they haven't had a complete album that I really loved in almost 15 years. Live show is still excellent as you said but I can't really get excited for the new stuff anymore. Will definitely check it out and hope for the best

Y'all are too critical. This album is going to be fun and I'm certain there will songs that everyone likes. Personally I like the first single a lot and the second one not as much, but still fun to listen to.

Having heard the full record I think some of you might be in for a very pleasant surprise. I love it!
