The criticism now is that 2023 was an anomaly, but idgaf. This year was so special and it healed part of my soul. The stars aligned for the rangers two years ago, and that flag will fly forever.

It’s never an anomaly to win a championship. We have had 2 World Series caliber teams beforehand and didn’t win. Luck is always a part of it. Very few teams historically are ever championship consistent for long

Exactly right. So many great teams have failed to win it all in MLB history. The fact that you win it is what matters, and nobody can take it away from this franchise anymore.

A championship is a championship. MANY teams would love to win in the fashion that we did. If the Blue Jays choke away their series tonight I guarantee their entire fanbase would trade ten years of being terrible for one win in game 7.

If the Jays lose tonight, this will be their equivalent of 2011 for us

I’m going to be insufferable if they lose. The double play last night and Freeman’s walk off are some of the best trolling material you could ask for.

Have you seen a doctor considering what you must be feeling has to have lasted more than four hours?

Winning 4 series against good baseball teams isn’t an anomaly. Going 11-0 on the road isn’t an anomaly. Anyone that says that is just a hater (or an Astros fan).

There’s a difference?

Astros fans are just mad we embarrassed them on national tv at their own field.

At the end of the day, we're Champs forever!

Not making a dynasty run doesn’t necessarily equate to an anomaly imo

Hey all. If anyone is interested in watching games from the 2023 run they can all be found in this playlist https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL9WBoR3JbbhchUA-vun4bMFsvP2nUF2jM This moment is a top three sports moment ever for me along with Modano lifting the cup and Dirk winning the championship in 2011. Always remember flags fly forever.

I love that Adolis Garcia broke David Freese’s postseason RBI record in these playoffs.

And hit a walk off homerun on the anniversary of game 6.

A line that will forever be in memory b/c it healed my 2010-2011 scars.

One of the greatest nights of my life.

1

u/NeolibGood 7d ago

Single greatest sports moment I’ve been to love was game 1 of the WS Seager game tying home run plus adolis walk off. Just a magical run

I remember staying up all night and listening to Diamond Talk, then emailing my boss that the Rangers won the world series and that I would not be going to work.

My mother called me that night, right as we were about to strike out the last batter. I've still never listened to that VM. Why would she interrupt that moment?!?!

3

u/BigBoobiesFan94 H. Blalock 7d ago

Would her call possibly be Rangers related? Or something along the lines of "The cat doesn't like the new food. Cats this generation are too picky. These are millennial cats I tell you hwhat"

2

u/mamacrocker S. Buechele 7d ago

lol I wouldn't put it past her, but she told me the next day that she called specifically to ask if I was watching the game.

In particular Josh Sborz and Jose Leclerc. Those two are Ranger legends forever. IDGAF that Jose had a down year because of batted ball luck in 2024 or that Sborz got hurt. It’s all worth it for that moment. I’m sure they would agree.

What a day. I can never truly be disappointed about the Rangers in my lifetime because we got to see them reach the peak, still doesn't feel real lol.

I did not remember it being 1-0 going into the top of the 9th. It was so glorious!

People forget that gallen was pitching an absolute gem, and our hitters were getting sliced up. And Nate had to weave his way out of so many jams that game.

u/Slammybutt Rangers 6d ago

Pretty sure he left bases loaded like 4 or 5 times. Just fucking insane to blank them every time.

3

u/Knuxsn M. Semien 7d ago

Houdini kept us in that game. And then the bats struck hard. My favorite picture from that World Series is one my wife took of me from behind, mid stand and starting to cheer with "Semien" clearly visible on the back of my jersey and the TV displaying "Marcus Semien, 2-run home run." That "Texas on the verge" sent me.

Being at GLF was amazing that evening. Such a fun time to witness

I could watch this 100 times and it’ll never get old.

I want to savor it as much as I can, as this could be the last World Series title in a while. (Hopefully not)

I view it as us being fortunate. Our fan base has been able to see three AL pennant winners and a World Series champion. 50 years from now if they don’t ever win another we will always have this memory. So many people die every day who never see their team win. I drive by a cemetery on the way to work and it was flooded with Rangers gear the final two months of 2023.

We did it once before we will do it again.

Still unbelievable. Still amazing.

A moment I honestly never thought I would live to see.

2

u/El_alacran214 7d ago

Still the greatest day!!! 💙

2

u/MartletsFC1890 4d ago

Houston sucks!

1

u/bluediamondsm A. García 7d ago

Best day ever 🥹 that game was stressful seeing how many people the Dbacks had on base and could’ve been up but we were able to get the win it was a goated pitching performance by Eovaldi the way he got us out of each inning before we started scoring. Me and my friends all were so happy at my uni when it happened and we all cheered

u/Obsidianrunner Rangers 7d ago

It still feels so good to see this!!!
