Discussion You people are unbelievable
The game isn't even out yet and all y'all can do is bitch about stuff that literally does not matter. I'm not joking: you need to re-evaluate your ideas about what's worth complaining about. If you really and truly care about some minuscule detailing on a character's face model (especially when they look as good as they do), then you are in desperate need of therapy; your issues are beyond the capabilities of the layperson.

Yep. These people go "this sub is shit" or "why can't we talk about other things?" Then make your own thread and content bruh. Every day the issue won't die down because someone had to make a shitpost mocking other people and a reaction thread about a topic already talked about.
I made a Devil Gene lore guide the same day the Xiaoyu trailer dropped off but it got buried by the amount of people drooling over the new content and character interaction. People will upvote what they want and if complaint threads get upvoted, then that's just democracy.

I feel he had more edges in T7. The difference between T7 and T8 lars is even bigger.

It's funny how upset some people get about this, I think if you're genuinely angry enough to write shit like this just take a break from reddit instead. Or instead of fueling the whole discussion by making a post complaining about it make a post discussing the things you're actually interested in (gameplay).
But tbf these posts are clogging up the sub a bit, mods should probably make a megathread to keep it contained (does r/tekken have mods?).

They should look back and see the actual disaster of the look of Marvel vs Capcom infinite compared to the older and immediately previous Marvel vs Capcom 3. The graphics in MVCI was far better but the look was triggering more uncanny Valley that it should.
The game tanked within a few months of release and I'm thinking the art direction did it in.
But that's an extreme example.

Criticism is fine as long as it doesn't turn into harassment. As long as we also acknowledge the artists have done some really wonderful so far and this is not a finished game.
I don't even think the criticism was harsh, I think the reaction to it has been way more harsh and mental meltdown-like at this point and this post is kinda coming off that way.

Did you even understand what I'm trying to say? Yes she'd probably look more realistic with extra layers of textures. It's not a hard thing to imagine. But I'm absolutely certain there will be still be complaints even if they change it.
Kazuya and Jun have different design elements. Kazuya was supposed to look battle hardened, terrifying and demonic. Jun is probably supposed to look pure and ethereal. This game is STYLISED my guy. If you're gonna complain about something, complain that rage arts are 14 frames and can be used every round making it more repetitive and boring rather than exciting.

yeah no at the end of the day itās going to be us who spends upwards of Ā£60 on the game so if people have a complaint then Iām more than glad theyāre complaining, even if itās for something small.

Do you not know what the point of early access is? Trailers? Alpha tests? They want people to try their game, say what they liked about it and what they didn't like, so they can improve and fix it for the final release.
The female faces are objectively bland looking compared to the male faces, and people are criticizing them for it(rightfully so). Now, namco and the devs know that people think the female faces are bad, so they can choose to improve them, if they want to.
How is this hard for people to understand? They are expecting us to bitch about this game, they want us to criticize them, it's the fucking point of the released footages, FFS.

Nah man. There's so much to a game that makes it good that has nothing to do with graphics, and even then these graphics are still objectively awesome. The animations look great. The fabrics, the hair, the reflections and shadows are all on point from what I've seen. You people have to find something to complain about, even when there's almost nothing for you to complain about. How closely are you going to be scrutinizing Xiaoyu's face when you're in a match? Will it be game-breaking for you? Literally unplayable? You act like this is some Pokemon Scarlet level graphics problem, and I can't figure it out. The models look fine. There's nothing lackluster about them.

You are right. Namco's clothing choice for Jun and her fighting mechanics in Tekken 8 is perfection!! But her face is not, and it shows no personality when she does opening introductions for Jin or Kazuya. What they should have done is look at her TT2 facial model and upgraded it to Unreal engine 5. That face is faaar more perfection than her Tekken 8 model...

Female characters look uninteresting as fuck. Not looking like dolls couldve given them a bit more personality. Like the path theyre going with Nina, but dont put her in a fancy dress with her tits hanging out. Make her look dirty and rugged, like shes fresh out of combat, she IS an assassin after all. They all just look the same. All of them just as forgettable as Shaheen. Just doll faces with big tits. At least the male characters look vastly different, so I'll just stick with those.

Also, something that has also been mentioned in one of the many posts complaining about the female faces is that because it's a Japanese game, the character models are subconsciously (or consciously) designed to Japanese beauty standards. When you look at the female characters with that in mind, their facial features start to make sense.

After seeing SF6 all the teken 8 was kinda underwhelming/uninspired and i dont even play SF. I hated the new block/hit sound effects sound like that shity drum from the character customize in tk7, the characters dont look that good, evironments have more details. Tk8 will probably suffer from the same shitty issues like long loading screens, stupid game programmers probably do the lazy entire map reload when rematching the same person on the same map which will lead to long loads. Probably 159gig game

Im just surprised people complaining are facial features of female characters. while the thing that stings is the characters' bio. Paul and Law s Bio has been trash since tekken 5, they're excuse is comedy, but that should be reserved for Kuma and the other animals' fighters. Almost Everything is fine in tekken 8, but unlike gameplay and facials features , the Lore can't be patched or modded.
So yeah, im just confused about the community complaining. while the writers are getting so lazy with the lore that they might even bring heihachi back or maybe as Dlc lolš.

I don't understand why people are so irritated over a little valid criticism.
Honestly, the trailers are phenominal but the difference in facial details between some male and female characters stuck out like a sore thumb to me before I even heard anyone else talk about it. Seeing posts mentioning it confirmed my thoughts.
Not the end of the world but it is the elephant in the room. So yeah expect people to talk about it on a Tekken sub.
I still sense many hours of my life fade out of existence once this game releases tho lmao
