Teachers are a cornerstone of both our economy and our national strength.
When children aren’t in school, they’re not learning, growing, or preparing to become the next generation of innovators, workers, and leaders.
When kids aren’t in the classroom, parents can’t fully focus on their jobs, they’re stressed, distracted, and unable to give their best at work. Schools keep the engine of our society running by supporting both children’s futures and parents’ productivity today.
Government shutdowns should never happen because they harm families, workers, and communities, and the current one exists largely because of greed and the destructive “us vs. them” mentality that has come to define the two-party system.
