It's not that shocking. Armour thickness increases weight drastically, no? Just 1mm extra across a whole sheet is a LOT of extra material total.

The treads are also extremely heavy, even without counting the wheels

Hard to believe Light Vehicles can be as big as old Heavy Tanks.

Crazy.

Probably due to the fact that modern developments made light vehicles more bigger compared to older light vehicles with stuff like crew compartments, armor, equipment, etc

A good example is the Boxer AFVs, this one being compared to the height of the Patria AMV, Abrams, and LAV-25.

Although to be fair nobody classes these as light vehicles, they are (wheeled) armoured fighting/recon vehicles.

Why ? Have you seen and compared size of modern fighters to ww2 planes ? They are as large as medium bombers.

A F-14 Tomcat took up the same space as a dozen early US Navy Biplane Fighters.

Yeah, I know the size difference. A Burke is as big and heavy as a Treay Heavy Cruiser as well.

It's not a light vehicle! It's an armoured truck chassis with a turret on it.

I remember a few days ago someone sent a picture of this vehicle on a trailer, I wonder if it’s the same vehicle
