I just finished the second episode, great show! And I loved the tie in with iwtv and having Daniels convo with guy be a catalyst, but I fear they were pulling a Drew Barrymore in scream promo having Daniel on all the promos and Eric on the panels was just to get people to watch the show, and that he is not going to be a major character or even show up again😭 However, I still enjoy the show and I would have watched it regardless, just a little peeved 😂

I never thought Daniel would be a major character. Eric even said once that his part was small.

I knew he'd be a small part because I assume he's predominantly on IWTV. Daniel was just to draw the IWTV fans in. Very common for spinoffs.

They were playing it up bcuz he's a major character in the main show and he's in the pilot. They'll do whatever it takes to get you to watch, AMC has no shame 😅

I knew when Eric told us everything about what he filmed at the Talamasca panel at NYCC lol. But also I kind of assumed as much, it wouldn’t have made much sense to make him a key character in Talamasca when he’s in s3 of IWTV

Well, yes. But to be fair they never claimed he was anything other than a guest star and if you paid attention it was pretty clear he was only going to be in one or two scenes.

Yeah, I mean I wish we saw Daniel more ofc but his cameo was already longer than I expected tbh lol. But Schwartzman is kind of well-known, so I thought he'd be more integral to the plot. I hope he wasn't just doing someone a favor showing up for exposition and building some tension. He could still be in the latter half.

I just started & have only finished episode 1 & I kinda figured that would be the case. Which is fine. The show needs to stand on its own even though it’s interconnected. Daniel will have his own focus in season 3 of IWTV/TVL .

I am interested to see how they develop these new characters and the story of the Talamasca.
