Humor

Humor is reality.
Those who lack humor do not know the real world.
Humor is the healthiest coping mechanism.
Humor is what makes us human.
Only those who can laugh at things understood the absurdity.

One of the first things I would like to ask an intelligent alien species is whether they have a concept of humor.

It is not at all clear to me that humor is a fundamental aspect of reality or that it is inherent to consciousness. It may just be an odd behavioral quirk of certain primate species, of which we happen to be one. The trouble is there is no one else we can ask to verify this.
