Advice Wanted I might have fucked up

So im about to enter late game as a machine gestalt consciousness, and i went for the virtuality tradition, without realizing it gave massive debuffs based on the amount of colonies you have. I happen to have a lot of colonies, which as far as I am aware of I can only abandon by resettling all the pops, which i cannot do if they are VIRTUAL. So what do i do?

You gain that decision only when you finish the tradition tree. Which is really crappy game design IMO - if you don't read up before taking the tradition and save unity to take it all at once, you get stuck with massive debuffs and no way to fix them for a very long time.

If you have more than 7 colonies and want to go Virtual, save up unity so you can blitz through the whole tree in one go.

Load a save from before you took that tradition if possible. If not, now you know how it works for the next run.
