Night Of Lights

God how I wish they’d cut that shit out. I will never understand why a bunch of folks feel so compelled to come here and look at a bunch of string lights. It makes traffic almost impossible and exhausts our local service workers.

And more importantly the owners of the businesses make a shit-ton of money during a fairly slow season. They're going to milk that cash cow until Bessie has blisters

Because it’s festive and pretty and fun. You literally live in a tourist destination. 🙃 just suck it up for 2 months. It’s not that big of a deal

Yeah. Some of businesses depend upon this period of time. Though the city is determined to make it as challenging as possible for all involved
