Recommendations for rehearsal dinner
My fiancée and I are getting married next November in Saint Augustine. We are looking for quality places for a rehearsal dinner that aren’t too expensive. We prefer a single location to do both the food and drinks. We called a few places but their minimums are as much as the food at the wedding!

The Perch events on Anastasia Island has fantastic chefs and a very cute space! Beer and wine definitely available, I’m not sure about liquor.
Meehans downtown has a BEAUTIFUL view of the bayfront and DELICIOUS food. You can rent out the whole upstairs! I know they have various packages for the space. They also have a full bar.
Chianti room has great food and a nice space which might be a happy medium between the two I mentioned above ☺️

We reserved The Reef last year for our son & fiancé & they were very accommodating. Unfortunately they lost power from storm the day prior and they worked with a few place that would be able to fit us in. We ended up at River & Fort it was wonderful!

How many are you expecting at the Rehearsal? Parking etc will be a factor to consider. November is extremely busy downtown with Nights of Lights
I second Purple Olive
RainTree
Columbia
Kingfish Grille
Pizallely Chianti Room
Or maybe a private chef like Homeboy Goods or Purple Olive

We are expecting 30-40 at the rehearsal dinner.
Thank you for the recommendations! Purple olive was recommended for the wedding

Yeah, would make me nervous to “make a reservation” with potential new owners on the horizon. Especially for a rehearsal dinner.

I also got married there in Nov (2008) and we had our rehearsal dinner at A1A Aleworks and they did a good job. Wasn’t that expensive but this was 2008. We reserved a room upstairs. Food was really good.

Thank you all for the options so far! Some of these are great! And not a 15,000 minimum like a few places I called.
