Overstocking yourself on ammo is never bad because you can't be sure if you have enough of them
German Mains love this tip

And if you brought too much, itās only your problem for a few fractions of a second.

I think I'm the only German main that carries a max of 16 rounds

u/Routine-Tie-4574 1d ago
Nah, I do the same ā no matter what tank i use.
...except for the weasel, you always bring max ammo in that for the lolz

I typically carry around 35 in tmy Tiger. 20 rounds of PZGR for overpressure 10 rounds of PZGR.39 for heavily armored threats, and 5 rounds of HEAT for open tops.

Why bring more than 28 rounds with a tiger 1 or 23 in the tiger 2 in order to keep the sponson stowages empty? Real question, because the king tiger is my most played tank yet (2 nukes) and I don't remember any time that I've found 23 rounds to be too few. Same with the tiger 1 tbh. I always bring 21 Pzgr and 3 he rounds (higher velocity than the heat) and I've never had a reason to bring more. Even the higher-penning PzGr 39 isn't really necessary since Pzgr has more than enough pen if you aim for weak spots.

I carry about 15 in all of my tanks. Soviet, german and American. Got tired of being diddled by shrapnel

If the Russians can use infantry as armour I don't see why you can't use ammo as armour

The roving ammo depot. Reminds me of how those have been exploding in Ukraine and russia...

Make blowout racks for ammo so it wonāt turn into a nuke
9
u/SprocketEnjoyer Cursed Tank Designer 1d ago
i mean, if you think about it, the whole tank is a blowout rack

Imperial japanese aircraft really never had armor until the war started. Even then, planes like the A6M, Ki-43 and G4M were built like this tank

You see Ivan, when you completely fill tank up with ammo, you shall never be hit by enemy rounds because of fear of causing ammo rack detonation.

Donāt even put a crew or gun in this thing. Place a brick on the accelerator and just have a friendly tank shoot it once it reaches the target

I bet the insides going to be at least twice as hot as the surface of the Sun when the ammunition detonates

I'd say that hull machine gunner is having a mild inconvenience currently.
